If you hated the Chinese version, you're gonna love this one, trust me!
Got influenced by this drama by the thousands of TikTok edits around the web, but coming from a bad impression of the Chinese version (Meteor Garden) I was reluctant to this version, I've never watched any kind of drama coming from Thailand, but I've decided to watch it.If you like the heartwrenching drama, the extreme angst and the pain, well this one is definitely the go.
I loved how the story builds, nothing is overexaggerated as much as in the Chinese version, Gorya is amazing if compared to Shan Cai, and everything is extremely cruel because can relate to something realistic.
Months after and I still love seeing edits of this amazing drama, definitely, a rewatch is needed once in a while!
Absolutely recommended

Definitely recommend !!!
So far, this version of the drama has been wonderful, and I am completely in love with it. I adore the cast, they are all perfect for their roles. Despite the fact that there are only 2 episodes out, I can already tell that this will be a great drama and probably my favorite version. My favorite thing to far that I have noticed is, in this version Gorya, (the main female lead) is very strong and brave. I just wish there wasn't one episode every week, but I can't wait for more!!!Was this review helpful to you?

Intriguing
Meteor Garden (2018) was the first drama I've watched and it will always have a special place in my heart. That is why I decided to watch F4 Thailand and by now I am not disappointed. This version is way more violent than the Chinese one, but I think it is a good thing because it shows how much power the boys held over the school and how people were easily made to be hateful and aggressive towards their peers. That will help us understand the leads further in the story.
The actors seem to be cast perfectly for their roles. Bright as Thyme is scary AF and Ren is gentle but reserved. The actress who plays Gorya is incredibly talented and can portray her character well.
For now I really enjoy this drama and I can't wait to see the rest of the episodes!

the show is good and really really bad at the same time
-The storyline is so basic I already guessed how it ends, in the first ep and they spoiled it too much, the "evil" characters turn good too fast its very unrealistic-Side characters I love, the main character lacks personality and the only traits she has is being "clumsy" poor, and "brave"?
she magically changes every bad thing in the show and the side characters are grateful for her for doing nothing
-music is kinda nice
-the acting of most actors is not really good
I think it would have been smarter for the main character to choose the second love interest (ren) she liked him first and when the main love interest (thyme) has a crush on her suddenly the ren stops liking her which makes it weird and unrealistic
overall kinda fun but not worth the wait

Justifiable logic at first but inconsistent and contradictory later. Weak Acting. Quite lagging.
1. Story [~]The story makes the ML to be a bully / prey-predator at school - not the type to fall for nowadays, but he has to be popular at school according to the plot. However, the production team did a good job with their narrative to convey how severe bullying can be and how it shouldn't be accepted. Toward the end of EP1, the majority of floating comments from the online viewers all ask when this bullying gonna stop in the sense that the bullying is now too much - which, when the FL high-kicks him, it's truly justified. The viewers are all satisfied with that kick.
In general, this kind of plot that revolves around the bad guy and cute, fighting girl who has a crush on his friend instead can go down to the cringy side easily, but as of EP3, the production team has been avoiding the clinginess quite alright. I think their clear thought on the plot's logic is a part that helps.
-----------------------------------------------------
2. Acting [-]
It's a mix. If I'd be absolutely honest and straightforward, I'd say the acting of the main cast is much lacking. There're some scenes that come out quite well and show the charisma/charms of the characters, but that's because of the skills of the production and post-production teams.
Among the three main characters - the FL, ML and ML's friend that FL has a crush on - the FL did the best job. It's seen she tried and it helps making the character's fighting spirit shine. Her character's dialogue has the potential to make things come out cringy as well, but the way she acts until EP3 has been able to avoid that case (though very narrowly in some scenes.)
The ML's acting isn't convincing when it's the scenes about being dumb or noisy or bad. It seems like he doesn't wholeheartedly want to be the character, for example, he doesn't really yell when he's supposed to threaten people with a loud voice, and a lot of time he acts awkwardly, his facial expression in intense scenes can't make me believe. If he has to be in an intense scene with the FL, his expression is not up to her. Watching him makes me feel he's not in his element.
The ML's friend that FL has a crush on also has weak acting skills. When he cries, it looks more like he's about to laugh. I think you know that kind of expression when we see through a fake cry. It's not that the person is really going to laugh, but because it's a fake one, the expression is more to the side of a laugh. When he talks, it also still feels awkward.
The other two ML's friends sound awkward when they talk in their specific way as well. There's this kind of saying in Thai language when women normally end their sentences with kha for politeness while men end theirs with krub. Sometimes when guys want girls they talk with to feel being adored or when a much adult guy talks with a little girl with a large age gap, they would end their sentences with kha instead. The way these two characters say kha is very cheesy - not natural at all. It's obvious that they're not familiar with that way of talking. It sounds very off and so separate from being real.
Umm... I'm still quite stuck with the acting of the ML here. Let me mention a bit, if you ever watch the Japanese version, the ML in that version is beyond any other versions. Matsumoto Jun set the standard of this character so high.
-----------------------------------------------------
3. Pace [-]
Each EP is about one hour, which is quite long in my opinion, esp. if there's nothing much happening during the time interval or the acting is too boring to follow. I start to feel it gets lagging a bit in EP2 and it's real slow for me when I watch EP3.
-----------------------------------------------------
In conclusion, what caught my eyes in the first place is the looking of the cast. They are all good-looking on the same par. It's quite exciting to see them being introduced in the first EP, but their acting can't attract me longer than EP3.
Personally, among the total of 5 versions of Boys Over Flowers series (the others are from Taiwan, Japan, Korea and China), this version has the most good-looking cast. Five of them are all good-looking. None of the other 4 versions pays attention to the equality in good-lookingness of these 5 characters. In terms of the enjoyment with the series' overall, though, Season 1 of the Japanese version is the best, followed by the Chinese version. The other three are not to my taste.
By the way, I would say for the Boy Over Flowers series, the versions that get me get me from their acting. I'm not that much into the story, but it's fun to watch when they match a dumb bad ML with a fighting spirited FL. So, the score on acting weighs quite heavier than other aspects to make me enjoy this series.

Acting is horrible / writing even worse
The acting by this cast is unbearably bad. Especially the male lead. And the acting is made worse by the writers storyline. After watching and loving the Chinese meteor garden and the Korean boys over flowers I had high hopes for another drama of this manga. However this is just awful except for how good looking the cast is.
The best acting is by Gorya & Kavin. The worst acting is by Thyme.
I’m dropping at Episode 5 because Hana’s storyline was so badly written it doesn’t make any sense and Thymes acting was the worst I’ve seen that I just can’t continue.

It aint good
This version of the original Boys Over Flowers sucks it ain't even good.Their acting sucks you can't even understand them.
The cast very very bad.
The clothes they wear on the series disgusting and so fucking ugly as hell.
Next time don't fucking do a new version of popular or any series at that point.
Do something else that isn't from someone else.
Production company needs to do better.

one episode has already been out, but with only watching the first episode, I am already in love with this show. I have loved the other boys over flowers remake but this one also has exceeded my expectations. I currently love this show and can’t wait for the rest of the episodes to air. the plot and acting is also very good. I higher recommend watching this. everyone is good looking as well ! though this can trigger people and us very toxic, it is a good show. anyways, go watch this and support all the actors on their amazing work! Was this review helpful to you?

THIS IS THE WORST VERSION! Pretentious but failed.- Their wardrobes are inappropriate to the setting and unjustified.
- BrightWin’s acting is monotonous.
- Plot is confused. It seems the creatives behind these series are not on the same page. In their attempt to incorporate everything, they got lost focus.
- The way the story is execute is
OBSOLETE.
- Quality is compromised.
- BrightWin is overrated actors. From their first series, acting is the same.
- in short, It was only made to milk fans.

Promising Start…
I’m a big fan of the original ‘ Hana Yori Dango Franchise’. Whilst I have my differing opinions on each version I can’t deny one of the beauties of each adaptation was its ability to capture something unique to each country the series had been adapted into. It’s still early days with F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers and whilst there’s a lot of time to see where the series will go, I am looking forward to it as the series has presented the story once more with a promising start and new faces to the role. Admittedly there are certain main characters who I am struggling to become enamoured by quite yet but time will only tell how ‘ F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers’ will play out.
