- Genre mix out of humor, thriller, mystery that does not take itself too seriously, even if it gets dark at times.
-Kinda the same darkish, off-the wall gallow humor and vibe
-Two people/ the main leads against the powerful, corrupt elite, taking them down one by one and getting revenge for their wrongdoings this way.
-Intricate cat and mouse game between both sides with no clear winner, push/pull between both sides.
- ML is unreliable narrator, aka what you see is not (always) what has actually happened. Is more than meets the eye and hides his true identity. Lies a lot.
- When all seems lost, ML has backup plans to turn the tides, or things are not as they seem.
- Both are anti hero archtypes, bending rules to achieve their goals with often drastic methods outside the law.
- Both have smart and resourceful FL's
- The prison crew/inner circle is similar to the plaza tenants, in a way :D

Both leads were falsely accused and were desperately trying to clear their name. The drama is about unearthing the real killer and talking about social injustice

Good guy that gets framed and goes to prison, he changes into a powerful guy. It’s Law drama as well. Lots of murder and corruption.

There are a criminal terrorizing the city and a mystery to be solved. Although I think Mouse is a more complex story than Big Mouth, it is definitely a series that should be recommended.

There is action and violence in both these kdramas and an evil figurehead which people try to work out throughout the show.

They are both thriller, suspense and a noir drama. The male lead was also accused of committing a crime that he didn't do. He was similarly fighting against a powerful villain who wants him eradicated. The male lead is to boot an orphan like the male lead in Big Mouth.

Both have the main theme of a "frame job" which leads the male lead to investigate against all odds and ultimately the real criminal gets punished.

I would't say they are smililiar in many aspects, but the impression? The feeling the episodes leave after you watch it?
Both of them grab your attention to the point you don't even notice you're at the end of the episode. It keeps you hooked. Although Through the Darkness is based on real events (as far as i know) and Bigh Mouth is fictional... I'd say, both leave that "emptiness" after.
So if you've watched Big Mouth and don't know that to do with your life now, or you're watching it while it's still airing and don't know what to do in the meantime, I think it's defenetly worth for you to check out Through the Darkness.

Both dramas have different story but the similarities that I noticed were:
- The male leads got frame up and was sent to jail.
- The secret lab
- A psychopath serial killer

p.s. also watch Danger Zone S2: The Silver Lining bcoz it's the continuation of the story.

These are both action-packed shows that start off with the character having a hard time because their character development hasn't kicked in. But as both shows go on, you start to see the dominance, and the vengeance starts to grow in the characters.

While Big Mouth is a husband-and-wife duo that starts off having the ML cute and flexible but not successful at all, while the FL is trying to support them both... As the show progresses, the ML starts to face challenging situations that refine his overall character. The ML has one of the biggest changes in character I have probably ever seen in a show, and there is never a dull moment because of it!

Big Mouth also seems to have two plots going on at the same time: the main plot that the ML is tangled up in and the subplot that the FL is working on. But both of these plots end up crossing each other in unexpected ways, causing the show to be an absolute masterpiece.

The protagonist in Crime Puzzle confessed that he killed some people and he did it intentionally because he is trying to find someone in prison and he has girlfriend who doesn’t believe he killed them so she tries to find the truth behind all of this. The same in Bigmouth the protagonist is innocent but he is prison and his wife is trying to find why he was accused.

They have a very similar feel. Both are dramas with unpredictable stories, dark plot, mysterious antagonists and plot twists.

In both the ML (played by Lee Jong Suk) is falsely accused of a crime that he didn't do and he tries to prove his innocence by exposing the real villain.

Both are kind of biography of the leads. In both of the drama, the story revolves around one main case. In case of big mouth, it revolves around seo jaeyeong's paper and in why her, it's an accident and SA case.
In both of the drama, antagonist boils your blood but still dies peacefully.
