The end ruined the show

This show was pretty funny and I liked the plot and the characters, but the execution was kinda bad. The final relationship was weird and forced. The love interest came out of nowhere. Their love really should have started in like the second episode or at least introduced the interest, instead the show rushed everything to the last episode, making it seem out of character for the main. Even when he was confessing, it seemed he was unwillingly compelled to. The show spent too much time showing us how much he was against bl, it was unnecessary, though funny at points. Also, I felt like I would have liked it better if the love interest was a cuter, shorter guy or tall, masculine guy and naturally made his heart flutter. They looked bad together tbh.
Also if the main fell for the guy first instead of the other way around it would have been better, it took away from the romance and only made it seem like the main liked the interest because he liked him first. There was no chemistry between them, which sucks. The main had more chemistry with the guy he met at the karaoke bar. I wish that guy had come back :/ I wouldn't recommend the show, a bit of a waste of time. It was good up until the end though.

Could I be a Mob?

I thought this series would be weird because the trailer one Viki was something and I would’ve never pictured a show would be about the whole world is like a bl drama were all the boys like other boys and if it was an actual world please sign me up cause I would love to see that type of universe. Also Mob is so hilarious because of how hard he’s trying to not date or have feelings for another guy because he doesn’t want to be in a BL. Also Ayato is so adorable and I literally love him so much like he’s my favorite character. And can we mention this bop outro ‘Bubble Love’ by Da-Ice is such a good song that whenever I listen to it I always remember this show. Also that intro has to be one of my favorite ones because the actors singing it and the costumes were so amazing and funny. I will warn there may be spoilers ahead so be aware.
I got hooked in right after the first episode, it I was quite funny how Mob was trying to not get pulled into the BL world, but could not escape it at all to the point that he could even write his own BL novel because when he was predicting who confessed to Ayato he knew that it was Toujou since he has roses and a spotlight on him. Also can we mention Ayato and Toujou’s relationship cause they are the cutest things on earth like they remind me of two bears. Also Mr. Mayama is kinda scary because he basically was writing about what he sees in the BL world and it actually comes true. Also it was funny about how hard Mob was trying to escape being in a BL, but Kikuchi was making Mob come into the world because he likes him. Overall this show is very hilarious and very short and I definitely recommend this show because you just can’t miss it.

For fans of the genre

A good 7 is a fair rating for this absolutely hilarious parody, I watched it in one night and am amazed that my neighbours didn't scream at me through to wall because of my booming laughter.

If you are a seasoned BL fan, then you will be delighted, otherwise the series will be nothing but irritating and weird.

It makes use of every absurd trope and stereotype BL Manga have to offer and how to avoid the pits they dig for their male cast – no one is safe from the power of gay love.

I couldn't rate it higher due to three reasons.

Miscasting is one, most of the actors simply don't fit the characters they play, high schoolers look like adults, university students like they are past 30, it's very strange and breaks the immersion.

The story is nearly none-existent, mostly because the cast is way too big, there are so many couples that we don't get to know any of them, they really are just there to personify the tropes and create laughs.
It works for a few episode but gets stale quickly, I just wasn't invested in them, even those that get a decent amount of screen time.

Acting is mediocre or horrible.
I understand that the budget was pretty low, they needed a massive cast, from side-characters to background fillers, but neither of them were convincing; some fillers even laughed at the main characters when they should have been unaffected by them, you can see them stifling their laughter in the background.

The music was either so generic that I didn't notice it at all, or there wasn't any.
Re-watch value is very personal, I can't see myself being amused by it a second time, the gags work by surprising you with a trope, it wouldn't work for me again but that might be different for others.

Overall, it seems more like a private film-project instead of a professionally produced series, although a very good, very ambitious one that manages to deliver what it decided to present.

I would definitely recommend it to experienced BL fans that can laugh about how silly their hobby is at its core - I will surely watch the second season should it ever come.

a BL parody

This show/movie? is genuinely so funny! I found myself laughing multiple times from the main characters comedic moments. In its own way 'Absolute BL' reminded me of Extraordinary You with how they both have main characters who figure out they are in a comic world of some sorts but in this case it's a BL world. Absolute BL is definitely a comedy rather than a romance show and is a parody of BL tropes without it mocking the actual genre.
Its very short show but it's definitely a fun quick watch.
I'm excited to see what will happen in season 2 considering that this season left in a cliffhanger.
I quickly want to note that the OP is genuinely so good and so unexpected the first time I saw it. Stuff like that along with the add visual effects for example the flowers, music and random beams of light that appear on the main character really add something more to the comedic aspect of the show.

Very funny but the satire element is balanced with the charming scenes.

Charming actors and Cute scenes.
Something a Non-BL fan or Not aware of what BL is can also enjoy.
Very Funny but the satire element is balanced with the charming scenes.

Hilarious Main Character reactions.
Some pairings are 8/10 for me but they are side side characters so it's a pass.

The music theme used in some "moments" though reused in every "moment" scene. It enhances the viewer experience since if that tune sounds the "moment" will start and you'll bracing yourself excitedly on how the "moment" will play out.
(It does sounds similar to Disney's Beauty and the Beast OST)

Camera work ?Nice. Enhanced the Source Materials story by the live acting and IRL backgrounds.

Many boy non speaking extras interacting with each other. The females on the background are average looking and blurry. These minor elements make the series nicer and gets the point of the series.

Stayed 90% true to the source material. The 10% deviation is lovable and forgivable even if you have seen the source because that momoment fits the events nicely.
I can't wait for Season 2 to air after the announcement.

Straight man Mob finds himself in a fantasy (?) BL world and thus begins his story. It seems to me, at least, that the world of Japanese manga has been "over-managed" and the film didn't capture my heart as it should, because it couldn't, because everything here is reversed, and that's why it also captured my heart "in reverse". Mob "fights" against the BL world in a fresh, sometimes gloomy way, with insight and wit. Great acting by the lead (Inukai Atsuhiro). Maybe it seems a bit like a caricature, a parody, and I expected a completely different ending, but how else should it turn out in that crazy Japanese premango world. It's just that Mob was "infected". Professionally shot and produced anyway.

Svěže, někdy i sklesle, s nadhledem a vtipem, "bojuje" Mob proti BL světu. Každopádně profesionálně natočeno a vyrobeno.

Hilarious and cute with fun commentary on BL

It's a shame it's so short. I hope it will get a second season!

This is a short series about a man who realizes he's living in the world of Boys' Love (BL) and actively avoids typical tropes so that he doesn't in love with a man because, well, he's straight.

With this premise, you might think it's homophobic but trust me, it's not. Our main character "Mob" doesn't care if men are falling in love in front of him. Well, he thinks it's a bit dramatic, haha. Anyway, he's just frustrated by the tropes and criticizes how every little thing, like bumping into a stranger, can cause a chain reaction toward romance. Because he's self-aware, everything is just machinery; he can predict accurately how the world works and so he's trying to live quietly as a background character, maybe find a girlfriend, and just live his life without it turning into a romance.

This show pokes fun at BL tropes through "Mob" and it truly makes me laugh because, well, he's not wrong about some tropes being just ridiculous. It's just fun to see "Mob" work hard at not becoming a main character. It's important to note that "Mob" isn't against male/male romantic relationships. He's against the tropes and the mysterious world way that forces every interaction toward a romantic path.

The actor Inukai Atsuhiro was absolutely perfect as "Mob." His expressions were so fantastic and extra, I laughed so hard every time he panics about a situation.

Anyway, you'll enjoy this greatly if you like comedy, especially meta comedy, and if you enjoy dramatic visual acting.

Inukai Atsuhiro has an incredible talent for comedy

I absolutely LOVE this show! It's so funny! I love Mob! I'm in love with Inukai, and he should play more comedic roles, as his talent stands out more and more. The only thing that I think is perhaps a little controversial in the script is Mob falling in love with Kikuchi. ok, in this BL world everyone falls in love for no apparent reason, but for me, it would be even more fun if Mob defeated the BL world, since that was his goal. So, the fact that he fell in love kind of clashes with the character's focus, which was to overcome that world anyway. I confess that I was rooting for the main character's success, but that doesn't take away from the shine of the series, which is an excellent comedy show and an impressive parody. In some scenes, just looking at Inukai's expression made me laugh. he is an incredible actor! I'm super excited for session 3!!

A atuação me deixou muito satisfeita.
