A heartfelt Thai BL with action
Kinnporsche may not have made it to the top of my list for Thai BL, but it definitely found a place in my heart. There were some loose ends that needed tying up, especially regarding the truth between the dad (main family head) and uncle (minor family head). The uncle was supposed to say something before the dad killed him, leaving me uncertain about whom to trust since the dad has already lied multiple times in the series. This particular scene doesn't sit well on me.However, I must give credit to the action scenes that was well-executed. Although comedies weren't necessary, they somehow added to the overall fun.
Finally, it's refreshing to see a Thai BL that doesn't revolve around school romance. It's been a while since I last watched one, and now I finally understand why there was so much hype around this series last year.
And let's not forget Vegas' sexy english and Jeff's amazing OST. Overall, it was a beautiful BL experience.

Lived up to the hype
I hadn’t watched this because (1) I was not a IQIYI subscriber but I finally broke down and subscribed yesterday and (2) I am not a Mile fan but I have read that he is one of the nicest guys out there.I just finished the series ( in 2 days - because I had to work today haha). Let me tell you, it was fantastic. Mafia themes are my favorite. Manner of Death and HIStory 3 are other favorites.
The acting was superb. I never expected this to bring out so many different emotions . Apo wins the prize for gorgeous, sexy, fit, and hilarious. Some parts were funny, while other parts were very intense. The twists and turns keep coming until the very end. Not one boring part anywhere.
The BibleBuild story was over the top like nothing I have ever seen before. Incredible.
Overall, it was great and I would watch this again.

Practically perfect.. however...
There is so much to love about this series that it's hard to pick which aspect was at the top. But for me, the overall production was superbly executed; everything from the story to the acting to the camera work and direction. (Special shout-out to the fight scene in the casino and, more specifically, the panning shot going up and down the stairs.)It truly was a rollercoaster ride of emotions - sometimes so quick, in fact, that I felt like I may get resulting whiplash. Within the span of 10 minutes, there could be a moment of laughter, tugging at heartstrings and on the verge of tears in suspense, but it still all worked well and somehow managed to flow all the same.
I like how every character has their strengths and their flaws. No one is perfect and they all make mistakes, but you still root for them despite their shortcomings. They are all simply human, trying to make the most out of the hands they were dealt either from birth or somewhere along the way.
While I would love to see more, I feel like the story could end here, at least as far as the relationships go. The only relationships I'd be curious about is Kim and then how the boys handle being reunited with their mom. However, it kind of broke my heart that the mom looked almost uncomfortable and afraid of them as they hugged her in the ending scene. They just want to love her but they are essentially strangers to her and that's devastating... I don't know if I could sit through more scenes like that. And yet I thought it was beautifully executed all the same to show the reality of the situation and that being reunited is not going to be all hearts and rainbows.
Overall, the series was the best I've watched to date in the BL genre, hands down. There is definitely rewatch value in it, especially knowing what the ending is. I'm looking forward to searching for hints from the beginning since I know there were "lightbulb" moments for sure.
***EDIT***
After watching the series a second time, I feel like there is even more rewatch value in this series. During the first watch, I'm constantly confused with all the deceit and trying to guess who is actually good or bad. But, as I've said above, everyone is flawed in their own ways yet it's how they deal with it that makes the viewer either root for them or jeer them.
My main gripe with it is the whole storyline with Porsche's parents essentially being thrown in in the penultimate episode. That didn't really give viewers much time to grasp what the heck was going on and I still wonder who was telling the truth with all the different scenarios that were presented. And man, the way the mother was uncomfortable while Chay and Porsche tried to make her remember them still bugs me the second time around.
I did have to up my rating though because it's still a great series and I will keep it in rotation for favorite series.

it does smell nice: an ode to apo
it is i, the niel.it took me a looooong time to finish this show. literal months. at first, the storyline was intriguing, but, like most bls, just started adding in random elements to pad the runtime. it certainly is a high-quality production. gotta give it its flowers, because it was the bl that caused the genre to shift in a more mature direction away from high school/college fluff. the actors did a good job, the scenes were shot well (lots of variety in set locations), music was great, and overall, it was well-made.
however, there were issues with the tone of the story at times. within seconds of certain scenes, the tone went from serious to goofing around in a very jarring way. this can work in certain shows, but i was caught off-guard every single time. after having watched the show, i can go back to the goofy scenes and laugh at them, but as i was watching, i just sighed every time. the product placements were giving unforgotten night, which works great in a show like that, but not this one.
porsche, as a character, was generally a likable guy. but, i think that apo plays porsche in such a way that makes viewers look past his inherent flaws, because apo is just a charismatic dude. porsche's motivations are slightly contradictory at times. for example, he claims to be doing this job to protect and provide for his younger brother. however, by doing so, he essentially abandons chay (a minor) in the process, which then leads to him getting groomed (well, yes). at times during the story, he had opportunities to leave, but he chooses to actively stay with kinn as a bodyguard, which is not in the best interest of his brother. i'm not saying all of his decisions should be based around chay, but bro is in high school. porsche is literally his legal guardian (uncle gone). i don't think that porsche starts off as a selfish character, but he slowly becomes a selfish character, and that honestly isn't acknowledged.
every single relationship in this show has a basis that makes it impossible for me as a viewer to turn a blind eye to their relationship dynamics. there are factors in all 3 couples, at least at times, that make it legally/morally impossible for one person in the couple to give informed consent. vegas and pete, foul. kim and chay, deceitful. kinn and porsche, hr violation.
way too many scenes of SA or nonconsensual interactions. in all of them, the show tends to justify the sexual violence in some fashion, or fails to make the couples acknowledge/address it. woof.
on a positive note, i think back on the bread product placement scenes fondly. like i said, apo is a chill dude. the actors did a great job with what they were given. it's not their fault that the script was sus at times. overall, it's a refreshing change of pace from what we had seen from prior thai bls. it's worth watching, if you're okay with darker themes mixed with nonsense. also, a lot is left unresolved by the end, which might be frustrating for some viewers. i don't think i'd rewatch the entire thing, but some scenes were good enough for me to go back to. kachow!!
best,
the niel.

Fun and Steamy Show...But When It Falls, It Falls. Hard.
I decided to finally sit down and watch KinnPorsche as I was aware that it was quite a popular BL title for a lot of people and I absolutely had to see what the fuss was about.I will say, I definitely find it amusing how steamy this show could be when it wanted to...and it definitely wanted to be as often as it could, and watching Kinn and Porsche's bond grow stronger was also a fun ride.
However, I do have to ask what the point of the 3rd couple - Porchay and Kim - was. Quite frankly, I wasn't that interested in their relationship once time was spent on their potential romance arc. And once it became clear that Kim was using Porchay for his own motives (and I assume getting feelings in the process?) I was hoping the ship would sink and it'd be more a matter that whatever went on between them was more to serve the purpose of the main plot as opposed to stirring up a third couple.
But no.
Nothing really happens with Kim and Porchay. On one hand, I'm fine with this as it means we're not wasting time on a romance arc I wouldn't care for and couldn't see feasibly coming about. But on the other hand, it's underwhelming how irrelevant both characters are in regards to the absolutely chaotic plot they're supposed to be a part of. Kim in particular I especially did not see much value in because everything about him was so superfluous. All his investigating into the death of Porsche and Porchay's parents and getting close to the latter to try and garner info...goes nowhere. Was something dropped?
I feel as though you could have either cut Kim from the plot entirely and have Porchay be a far simpler character who gives Porsche someone to protect, or even delve into an active romance but show another perspective through Porchay and how he deals with everything going on around him. The problem is, the show establishes that Kim is rather distanced from the main family so he's not as active in the main story. Any scenes involving this supposed couple are just not fun to watch because I cannot bring myself to care for it.
The secondary (?) romance between Vegas and Pete is a fun one to watch. I don't mind a story that wants to be rather unsavory and dark. A lot of stories out there can be quite optimistic and cutesy so sometimes its fun to watch a darker romance every once in a while. I hesitate somewhat in calling it a secondary pairing because - and perhaps it's just me - I was caught by surprise when these two started sharing more scenes together and a connection was actively forming between them. Both characters, despite the toxicity of their relationship in reality, drew me in with how intricate and complex their personalities and backgrounds were. It is through Vegas' chaotic relations with Pete where he really shines as a character, and I must say their relationship was actively capturing my interest even more than KinnPorsche's sometimes.
More of THAT would've been fun. I like that there's little hints of an attraction between Vegas and Pete before they actively begin connecting more explicitly. The seeds were planted but grew at the most random of times and yet I'm somewhat enthralled by the whole ordeal and want to see more. More of VegasPete would've really made for a deliciously dark BL tale and I'd've ate up every minute of it.
Not much to say for KinnPorsche themselves. Nothing bad or overtly negative by any means,. I thought they were really un to watch. I was definitely very entranced by Kinn's eyebrows. They look so GOOD! I understand, Porsche. I absolutely get it. Porsche himself could be a little overly comedic as a character but his overall arc and story won me over with him and his charm was always present.
As for the actual plot, this is where KinnPorsche actively falls hard. I was actually rather invested in the plot right up until the final two episodes. The mystery of how Porsche's parents died is a solid one on paper, but I feel like everything was thrown at the wall by the end and there were too many reveals happening at once for it to even make an impact on me. I honestly had a hard time following if Gun - Vegas' father and head of the minor family - was actually the bad guy, but it seems that Korn was really the mastermind and proved to be as cunning and sinister as his father had been.
Would I rewatch this? Probably yeah. It'd probably be fun to go back and see if there were any subtle details earlier on that would make more sense now knowing the whole story. And besides the sex scenes and chemistry between the two couples is captivating that seeing the attraction would be worthy of a rewatch alone.
Also want to say first and foremost that "ARE YOU FUCKING DUMB, BRO?" - in English no less - is one of my utmost favorite line deliveries ever heard from a BL. Of everything that this BL had in it, that will definitely stand out as one of the most memorable parts of it.

it’s good but…
everyone i know talks a lot about how this is one of the best BL series ever. i wouldn’t say it’s the best but this does have a lot going for and against it.pros:
- amazing acting from EVERYONE, from the main leads to the supporting cast. everyone ATE! for me, i think bible and apo did the best.
- porsche was such a freaking sunshine forget kinn i was ready to take a bullet for him myself
- i really liked the costumes and location settings, they really added to the whole vibe
- first 9 episodes were so freaking good i binged them all in a day
cons:
- went downhill after that
- where was the relationship development after the main couple got together? which brings me to
- why did porsche lose brain cells after they got together? like i was screaming the whole time at the screen, why did he just accept whatever kinn did without questioning him more?
- unnecessary screen time for kim and porchay, im sorry i don’t care about their relationship
- vegaspete’s relationship was also rushed, and i wish it stayed a bad ending
others have talked about the toxic/abusive elements about the romantic relationships so i won’t mention those. but i wanna know why the mum plot was included at the last minute? it felt so convoluted and messed up the story imo. not to mention, it was resolved pretty sloppily as well.
actually, the series was wrapped up sloppily in general. everything the first few episodes established were pretty much ignored, especially in regards to porsche’s character. however!!! i still ended up really liking this series and will probably rewatch this in the future.

Highly Overrated
It was different from the general BL genre but just released at the right time. Though the fandom is super crazy but let me just say it.So here it goes, I understand that Mile was the one who invested his money to make this possible he is amazing person and evrything but just not a great actor, his scenes were so off I had zero percent attachment with his character.
The story was made a better version of itself by the directors I got to give them that cause I've read the novel and it's pathetic beyond words. I was invested so so much in KimChay storyline. the second favorites were ofcourse VegasPete.

Not perfect but sooo WORTH IT!
I don't know if everyone knows, but getting this series released was a miracle in itself.Yeah it has some cringe and also some bad product placement scenes but those don't take away much. All the minor deficiencies are made up by the rest of the show, be it the superb chemistry of the main couple or the excellent cinematography.
I keep seeing people's comments that it's overrated but let me tell you it's not, within good reason. The show is amazing technical wise, the frames don't look soap operaish instead are of great quality, the best in Thai BL I've seen so far. The music is absolutely amazing. The supporting cast pulls their weight and more. Even the clothes, make-up and styling is gorgeous. This is evident especially if you watch the first version (cancelled) of the series.
And of course the highlight is kinn and porshe, it's fireworks whenever they are together. There are some problematic aspects due to an equally or more problematic source material (novel). But the writers of the series have mellowed it down a lot.
It's a different experience for those who are sick and tired of High school or college BLs.
Ps. Not safe for work

Could've been epic but writers casually decided to made mess in some parts
I would be honest, I only watched this series for Vegas and Pete, and especially for Vegas in particular, but I was left disappointed with their screen time and writing.Since I mentioned them, let's start with Vegas and Pete. I already said I watched this series just for them, and they both catch my attention the most. Honestly, I always get hooked to psychologically complex characters like Vegas and Pete, which is definitely the reason why they caught my attention the most. The portrayal of highly complex characters like them required way more screen time than the director gave them in the series. In almost 14 hours of series, they only get like 14 minutes, which left their story badly portrayed. Okay, so personally, I'm not against their relationship, and I won't say that writing controversial and psychology messed up relationship is particularly bad, but it takes extra efforts and care to rightly portray them. But whatever happens in the series is way more acceptable and better than the novel. In the novel, Pete was raped by Vegas, not just one time but over and over again, and in the novel, there was no internal conflict as in the series. As in the series, both were struggling with daddy issues, but in the novel, it wasn't like that, and I refused to believe that somebody can fall for their rapist. I get that it's the Stockholm effect or a machonist n sadist relationship, but still it's hard for me to except novel version of vegas.
So I'm quite glad they didn't follow the novel, and they made a lot of changes, but they definitely deserved and needed more screen time, like at least 3-4 episodes, or even more, to show their relationship dynamic better, and lastly, this could be a subjective opinion of mine, but if Vegas had died when he was shot, it would have been so much better, not because I hate him or something, but I think that tragedy death would have been so much better.
The sex scene of Vegas and Pete doesn't have a verbal consent, but since Pete kissed him first, we all have assumed that Pete gave his consent. Like really??? Should it be considered as consent??? But I can tolerate their sex scene more than Kinn and Porche scene. Kinn and Porche had sex twice, while Porche was unconscious, and yes, you can say that "Porche started liking him", but he was drugged, he was freaking unconscious, his consent at that period wouldn't be considered as consent. And we have to admit their relationship was as messed up not as much as Vegas and Pete but their relationship was everything but healthy. I've to admit, Kinn and Porche gave us some sweet romance scenes compared to Vegas and Pete cause these two bitches were only having scenes which could mentally mess you up.
Porche as a character is quite admirable in my eyes, a loving and hardworking brother and I would be lying if I don't say that I'm a little biased when it comes to Porche cause I was able to connect to him with older sibling who is a parent to younger sibling part. But Porche as a lover is quite stupid.
Talking about Kinn, he started off as a really strong character in start but I ended up not loving that character very much, they both turned out blind in love. And their relationship didn't have depth and internal conflict. For example, we get to see why Vegas and Pete fell for each other but Can we name a single thing why Porche and Kinn fell for each other despite their sex appeal to each other. Probably no and all I'm trying to say is it would've been better if they would've shown us their POV and internal feeling when they were falling for each other for more depth but this is completely my subjective opinion because I would not lie, I was personally looking forward to Vegas and Pete more than Kinn and Porche so this could be possible that I was not able to see their relationship depth. I haven't read their story in novel so I can't compare series with book but I must say that Kinn was quite toxic in series and he was even more toxic in novel. [ only read a small portion about Kinn in novel of Pete and Vegas story ] so that's all for them.
Now let's talk about the 3rd couple, Kim and Chay. You can hate me for saying this but in my opinion their relationship was unnecessary like both of their roles could be utilized better and yes I get it they look cute together and stuff but their relationship was nothing but an eye candy to watchers. But I must say they were the only sane couples in series and I actually was chill about it until I found out their real age gap was 10 years. Honestly 10 years of age gap is not the matter of scandal just because my subjective morals do not approve that but what I found scandals is that Chay was a minor at that time which I personally could not tolerate but I'm glad they got decent scenes and even off screen Jeff was pretty decent as well what I am able to see so far.
Chay's internal conflict is easy to break down, a young teenager fell in love with his fav singer and it made sense but I'm still not able to find out what's Kim's reason to love him back, like what was his internal depth? So still there is a lack of internal conflict writing like Kinn and Porche.
And talking about Kim as a character, I quite like him, he was just a one step away from becoming my fav character. He had flaws which made sense. His character arc was fine even there are still somethings which I didn't like about him but I can outright those with his decency.
Takkhun, he was quite an iconic character even a lot of people find him quite annoying which is understandable cause a Takkhun in real life would be an annoying a-hole but I quite like him in the series, he added the extra spice into it.
Talking about this series overall, It was good but it could've been so much better, it could've been one those bl series which could easily go in history because Mafia bl theme is quite rare I guess. It's always high school or university or sometimes office romance. But bl with mafia theme would be so fucking epic but the mafia theme got lost somewhere in bl. They were not able to consistently maintain mafia and bl together. And the plot of the series?? I dislike it. Don't ask me why I just personally didn't like where the series was going, it almost looked like some forced weird and alienated plot that made you go like wtf?? One side of me was so curious that how Porche's mom ended up like that and why but we ain't getting a second season so I think it would remain just a curiosity.
Other things about the series such as cinematography, I love it. I love the angles, shots, and visuals.
Acting, the cast did a great job, and some actors just nailed it, such as Bible as Vegas. Probably the best decision the makers made about the series, and considering it was his first project, he did such a good job. I personally feel like nobody could've played Vegas better than Bible. The sadistic nature, the anger, emotions, fear, guilt—everything was amazingly portrayed by him. Build as Pete, at first his acting didn't catch my attention very much, but the scenes which he did with Bible???? The smirk, the sorrow, the empathy, the emotions he conveyed, oh God, they were just fine. Takkhun, I don't know why, but I always felt that his character is hard to perform. Like all those dramatic dialogues, reactions, I just found them very overwhelming to perform, so he definitely did a great job. Porche, his acting was just perfect. Chaoticness, anger, love, sadness—he did a great job. Kinn, I might not like the character very much, but I love the actor and his acting. Kim, I personally feel like Jeff is quite opposite to his character in real life, so he definitely did an amazing job with his character. Chay, he was just 17 at that time, and it was his first time acting too, so considering all those facts, he did a great job with his role. And the rest of the actors did a good job too, making the story more enjoyable.

Two words to describe the whole series: Very Cool
For those who are wondering, this series is a *happy ending* for 2 out of 3 couples.TAGS: Violence, BDSM
One thing that I really love about this series is the fight scenes. The camera tricks and the martial arts of the actors are very notable and clean. Though the explosions are a bit childish for the lack of a better word.
The love scenes are almost soft porn as most love scenes shows they are somehow naked which gives the feeling of lust and love at the same time. There is a ton of sexual tension in the lovescenes, but still makes it to a point that the love story does not hinder the flow of the story much.
Now the flow of the story is very smooth...up until the last episode which really confused me alot. There they presented new plot points that made the story confusing. Even right now, I still dont understand who isnt lying: Korn or Vegas's father.
I guess there are a lot of points in the story left unanswered to make sure to pave the way for season 2.
Overall, I just want to say that I did not regret watching this series. I am a bit adamant to watch it because I dont watch shows where they physically hurt their partners, but this show is bearable in that area. Add to that that the plot is very immersive and makes you want to watch more.

Good Storyline but...
My honest review: Is it a good series? Yes, it is. Is it overhyped? Yes, I think is it.Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the series. I just feel like the story could have been executed better within the 14 episodes we had, some scenes could have been more detailed and others could have just been omitted. Everyone has their own opinion and this is mine. I liked the series, it's just not one of my top favorites.

This show deserves all the hype and the edits (except vegas and petes relationship)
This series was definitely something. i took off 1 star at first for the fact that literally, everything fell apart in the last two episodes. and i also took a half a star off because of the fact that vegas n pete and kim and porschay didnt have the redemption arc that i craved for. but the little clip of vegas n pete earned this show back half a star. so my final verdict is a 9/10. Kinn and Porsches helicopter scene (pre bj) felt so authentic, real, and actually made my heart melt. their love story is what i live for. the edits do not do this show justice. have to watch for the full experienceI listen to the intro song like 16 times a day
sorry for grammar errors. english is my first language i just suck at it
