I dont like so much
Unfortunately, this second season didn’t work for me. I do understand that, being a second season, much of the spontaneity and surprise has been lost. But the story feels like we’re watching a mafia movie — Scorsese meets Francis Ford Coppola. There's almost nothing left of the school-life setting. Some actors, whose characters are supposed to be in school, look nearly 35 years old, which also pulled me out of the experience. There are lots of random fights involving characters we often don’t know or care about. I felt the main character from the first season was very sidelined in the story — it seems like the real protagonist role shifted to Baku. By the way, who is Baku? I don’t know. What’s his relationship with Baek-Jin? I don’t know that either. I found it very tiring to watch. Was this review helpful to you?

Weak Hero suffers from 'The Back to the Future Syndrome'
Here's the thing: I think the show was good. But when the first is a classic, the second needs to do something similar, and I think they could've done a better job. I am currently reading the webtoon, and I think the webtoon's Suho part was not as entertaining as Weak Hero Class 1. Some changes were made in the first season, and I liked them. But in Netflixifying the show, the show unfortunately lost some of its charm. First things first, Park Ji Hoon gave his best here. Ryeoeun was also good, and I liked Humin. The final battle was also good, and given its runtime, I don't think the show drags at many points. The story was fine to good, with Humin's fights being the best. The right-hand man of Baek Jin was also a good villain. I liked the dynamic of the Eunjang friends, and the final battle looked cooler than I thought. The seventh and fourth episodes were IMO the best episodes. Now, onto the parts that I disliked: Yoon Si-eun's fighting. I cannot stress this enough, I think Si-eun was handled poorly this season. Only the rooftop fight of Si-eun was good, but that too wasn't as good as the first fight in the first season. Sure, the production was good, but the result was not satisfactory personally. He was the communal punching bag in the season. The previous season set the tone for Si-eun. I hoped he'd be a better fighter than he was during the last season. Yeah, I understand that he is mentally drained with Suho's case and thinks he's responsible for everything, but still, Si-eun was beaten by the weakest thug in the school. I don't want the show to follow the webtoon to a T, but they retconned their own story. The set for Eunjang and the design for Baek Jin were wayyy better in Season 1. Also, Si-eun has a serious relationship with his pen. Seriously, the pen thing stayed for way longer than it needed to. This was also a case in the first season, but one could argue it was fresh then. I thought he'd be called Stabby McStab with the amount of stabbing he did in the entire show. By the end, the pen became stale and flavourless to the point where most people predicted it.
But overall, I think the show was good, and that's why I am rating it an eight. But it is not as good as the first season. This season's story was so meaty, so the 30 - 40 minute 8-episode structure doesn't fit here. The friendships weren't explored properly either. The side story they told in the first season was short and to the point, even in the webtoon, so it worked well even with the big changes they made in the first season. That's why that story was better than the webtoon's. But when it comes to season 2, I feel like they could have made this an hour-long, 8 to 12 episode series because this season had so much material to be meaty.
If they:
1. Made Si-eun more solid and scary - less a punching bag, more a calculated fighter
2. Continued the Hyoman fight of the first season with Si-eun pulping the guy like in the webtoon
3. Introduced Baek-Jin with his old design in the previous season at the very end, not as the main villain of this season.
4. Made Wolf this season's main villain.
5. Ditched the pen thing and focused on other everyday objects
This would have become even better than the first season. It's still a good watch though, so I would recommend the show.

What a great Season 2 so glad I watched this Drama!!
Wow, wow, wow!! I started off not even going to watch this drama then I watched season one obsessed and watched season two and I can’t wait. There has to be a season three?!All the characters all the actors were incredible the first few episodes it was a slow Star season two, but once it picked up it picked upppppp!!
It was another family family moment and Si Eun finding friends again and just really mixing in with everyone was so nice to see I was wondering if he was just gonna stay isolated so it was really nice that everybody came together. The school came together in the end which was amazing!!
I wasn’t a big fan of Si Eun mom I did find a quite selfish from season one and he was randomly living with her in season two and I still found her really selfish. She didn’t contemplate that he found friends that he found good and that he wasn’t in the wrong. She just kept thinking about. I don’t even know what she was thinking about, but it wasn’t Si Eun why wasn’t you living with the dad by the way??
I also really laughed when Si Eun put Hu Min dad in his place and told him that there’s nothing wrong with the Sun it everything is wrong with you and the dad just had like a wake up call to say hang on a second. I’m the problem it was just hilarious!!
It was a shame Hu Min and Baek Jin overall their relationship you saw how they were best friends and by the looks of it Baek Jin was maybe an orphan or at least our children’s home and maybe that was the reason he was bullied in the first place but Hu Min stepped in looked out for him made friends with him only to get stabbed in the back?! Harshhhh I don’t know if we really figure out why that is is it because of the bowling alley owner taking advantage of the boy without parents?? Leaving him no choice but to join the gang??
I am curious, what happened to Baek Jin?? at the end it showed him in a funeral as in he’d passed but what I couldn’t figure out was that bad guy at the bowling alley kill him or did he kill himself?? I feel like I want to know the answer. Is it obvious to everybody about me?
In season one and season two both Si Eun parents make it sound like he’s going to study abroad so is the next season gonna be abroad because they’re all saying their seniors now is it just gonna be senior year at their school? I think it’d be cool for them to stay at their current school where everybody works well together they’ve got the friendship circle and the school is a whole?? or is it gonna be years later?? we care it seems like it’s gonna be a school thing and Seong Ji maybe playing the bad guy?
So good to see Su Ho again!! Maybe he will transfer and be with them for season 3?! Would love that !!
One thing that did get to me a little bit was they kept leaving their school bags after fights and yet they would miraculously have a school bag again at school that’s the only thing I would say apart from that I loved it haha
I liked the end bus scene and I know that they were saying that wasn’t actually scripted but they just fell asleep all by one of them so he pretended to sleep and then they just recorded it. I love that they included that!!
I also liked that that they kept the soundtrack from season one they changed the imaging and I don’t feel like it was as good as season one it was okay and I did like it but it just seemed really sad compared to season one the video?? But it is a great song!! Hopefully they keep the same song for season three. I’m interested to see what they used to match it in video!
Overall, a great season two leaving it wide open with a cliffhanger for season three!

Just as good as the first
As soon as I finished season 1 I got started with season 2 and it didn't disappointSeason 2 is home to my favorite fight scene <33 HOWEVER, I'll say my only gripe about it is I wish we could've gotten more of Baekjin and Baku, like what fully happened? And what were Baekjin's motivations??? I just wanted a biiit more 🤏
But for realsies? Really good season with awesome parallels to the first, you can still see Sieun's love for Suho, in fact it's the only thing keeping him going and I'm so here for it <333

A bit of a let down
Okay, this is going to be long but before anyone say that my ratings is too low, I want to make it clear that I am writing this as someone who was and is a big fan of the comic weak hero.Season 1:Not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed when I found out that weak hero live action season 1 doesn't really strictly follow the comic storyline, but then, live action usually take creative turns with orginal stories so I was kind of okay. If you watch the season 1 as someone who haven't read the comic or aren't too attached with the characters, you are going to love the show, the acting and story is amazing. But I just cound'nt stop comparing it with the original story, moreover I didn't like the fact that they changed the personalities a lot. I am specially talking about suho/stephen ahn. He was a sweet and kind person, who didn't even know how to fight, but the live action made him a fighter, that irritated me (again as a story, not comparing it with original comic, the live action is amazing). But still, even though, the characters and story was changed a bit, I love that the outcome was same. The feelings were same. However season 2, it really tested my patience.
Season 2: it was so different from the orginal comic. I know that season 1 was different from the comic too, but those changes were okay and not too much, but season 2 changes were too much.
Wolf keum/Geum seong je was less mad, he was crazy in the comic but in live action, he was toned down. His ten seconds staring rule was also not implemented well, it was not there at all actually. His encounter with sieun/gray was not very nice or exciting. I really wished they kept it same as the original.
Donald na/ Na beak jin's entry was so underwhelming. Seriously, he is the main villian somewhat, and this is the entry you gave him. Moreover, his aura was also toned down, in the comic, whenever he was on the panel, I could literally feel his aura, and the fear people around him must be feeling, but in the live action, he was just there. And where the hell was my baby Kingsley kwan. Very disappointing. It always irritated me when donald na was alone on the screen, in comic he was always with Kingsley kwan. He is basically Na's assistant.
I hated how the story was twisted a bit too much from the orginal, at some point it felt like the stories are different, only the character names are same.
Gotak/alex go was the only character that gave me peace. He was the only character close to the original comic this season.
And well I might be too much on this, but sieun looked much weaker than gray yeon. But that didn't bug me that much because I just took it as them trying to make him more believable fighting wise.
Overall, not gonna lie, this season was disappointing for me, and that was totally because they diverted too much from the orginal. The comic is one of my favourite and I have read it almost 6 times now. I loved the characters so much that I was very excited to see them in real form, but the live action ruined the experience for me.

Sequel got bigger fights, new villains... but forgot half the emotional soul in the process
Raw Action, Ambitious Scope, but Emotionally Hollow in Too Many Places✨ THE GOOD:
Park Ji‑hoon still kills it as Si‑eun—quiet, haunted, and operating on pain-induced autopilot. He’s carried this world, again.
allkpop
Fight choreography = fire — punishing, precise, and still the show’s undeniable highlight.
New cast adds flavor — Ryeoun as Baku, Lee Min‑jae as Gotak, and Lee Jun‑young’s Wolf Keum bring energy… when there’s time to breathe.
The Financial Express
🤯 THE “WAIT, WHERE DID THAT PLOT GO?” MOMENTS:
Terrible pacing — Eight episodes to tell a blazing webtoon arc? Plot raced ahead and left emotion eating dust.
India Today
Most new characters flat AF — There was talk of a redemption arc, but we got nothing but forced tension and wasted potential.
But Why Tho?
Emotional depth missing — It’s bigger, but emptier. Season 2 wanted epic; got flat.
🧠 THE “NERDS THAT FIGHT” FACTOR:
Si‑eun’s still our brainy bruiser, quietly narrating trauma in fight-induced voiceovers.
Geum Sung‑jae (Wolf) is psychologically unhinged perfection — instant standout villain, even if cameo-length.
Kdrama Reviews
Plot ambition? Great on paper. Execution? Like sprinting with a backpack full of rocks.
🎯 VERDICT:
“Like upgrading to an LED bulb—flashier, but somehow less cozy than your old lamp.”
Watch if: You crave elite K‑drama fight scenes, tight male friendships, and can stomach an emotional void.
Skip if: You want real character arcs, pacing that doesn’t sprint and stall, or any promised depth delivered.
Best paired with: 🥊 A clenched fist, mental armor, and zero expectations for a satisfying payoff.

Steers from the tone and atmosphere of season 1
Scope expansion in sequels is a common thing, but at times can be really harmful. Bigger does not always equal better, and Weak Hero Class 1's smaller scope and more personal story of friendship, bullying and betrayal was one that hit a lot harder and had me far more invested.Weak Hero Class 2 is a fun short little action show with some heartfelt scenes but at the same time it is one that just becomes comically absurd that it enters into borderline fantasy story. Whole highschool mafia and childhood connection bull, the one note characters with 1 or 2 personality traits that are barely explored due to the time constraints, the show is trying to do everything all at once and didn't succeed in excelling in anything.
What were very fun and brutal action scenes in the first season that featured brutal hits that held weight and dealt damage, Season 2 opts to make every character take superhero levels of damage. The coreography is fun but the hits hold no weight, no meaning, what's 1 shot to the knee versus like 50?
It's a betrayal to the core of the first season, but as its own fun short highschool bromance romp it has its charm.

MY SHAYLAS—I Missed Them More Than I Realized
I've been anticipating this ever since I finished watching Season 1 a few years ago. I'm so glad to see Sieun with new friends he can rely on, and have fun with. Good thing I didn’t read the manhwa—I probably would’ve felt disappointed if Netflix hadn’t adapted it correctly. I burst out crying when I saw Suho awake! I’ve never felt genuine concern over a Kdrama character as much as I care for Suho and Sieun. The new cast addition was really great—so nice to see Ryeoun in this! Was this review helpful to you?

Stoic Power
I enjoyed this series more than rhe first as I felt this story runs in a more believabke sequence. Acting was really strong throughout I thought.Likes: the soundtrack is hot! Cinematography and colour palette were gorgeous.
Not so much: actually enjoyed most of it but I’m an all action fan tbh.

alvin theodore simon and...?
(explaining the title: i was trying to think of them as Alvin and the chipmunks 😭 Baku would be Alvin, Sieun would be Simon and JunTae would be Theodore. but what about he's like an Alvin but at the same time there's Baku... so I don't know.)~~~~~~~~~~~
i don't have much to say about the acting, it's just, amazing! how they are so good!?
visual effects are so-so.
let's be honest, sometimes they would get freaking destroyed but absolutely no wound wouls appear.
for an example, when baek jin was hit 4x (i guess) in the face by Sieun, wearing a DAMN BRASS KNUCKLES and guess whaaat? NOO BLOOD! not even a scratch! 😭
anyways, production is good and ost...is just. amazing. i. love. the. opening. music. wow.
now, story. s1 had a great construction, it even made me cry my eyeballs out and wait anxiously for a s2. but i'm gonna be honest, s2 was not so good. i don't know if it has something to do with the webtoon or if it's the live action instead.
like, why there's no explanation of what beef baku and baek jin had? how the freak did baek jin died? how and why baek jin was working with the mafia? where's Sieun's father? (on s1 he was there, and the mother wasn't, now on s2 his mother is there and his father isn't 😭??) why Beom Seok was the one who appeared in Sieun's dream? why he wanted him to stay? why Gotak didn't get a proper development? he was just...there. he is, unfortunately, what the Association members said, "Baku's puppet" 😭
and why, whyyy Sieun just stood there when Suho woke up? wasn't he desperately waiting for him to wake up? bro, c'mon, give him a hug!! cry in his arms lol😭 (it would make a lot of us cry, which is good!!) and ah, have at lot of other questions...
i hope we can get a s3, but my hopes are not that high, as they was for s2

Weak hero class 2
Oh I finally have time to write a review.........(adult's life sucks) - so I am for sure one of the view people who liked this season more than first one - eventhought in my opinion it could worked only with one season (and it does not need next one but if there will be next I for sure will watch, simply because I like to finish what I started).A lot of fighting - although this time we have a character who is hardly against it ( and I love it) - a lot of unnessary violence. I still do not like how they only solution was fighting and talking about killing each other, it was annoying - and how the f.... there were not single parent in whole school who really cared about these kids and their life and well-being?! Not even teachers or police or anyone, they were still minors (if I undestood correctly) so how all of this was really possible? (yeah, I know, fiction) Cause all these kids was doing was breaking any law, most of them were simply criminals who should be kept in jail. But I like that there were healing parts, some happy ending (and sad ending for some)
Moving on to acting: well 10/10, Park Ji Hoon is amazing, Choi Min Yeong such a sweetheart (yeah, such character was really needed to light it up a little), Choi Hyun Wook it was nice that in the end he got happy ending (most people care only about this so I do not feel about spoiling - side not I still do not see any romance here!).
But as far as all acted amazing there are three characters who stole the show for me:
1. Ryeo Un - he was great, love his character - and red haircolor was really great for him
2. Lee Min Jae - once again great character
3. Lee Jun Young - and here I really hope that I get it right, he played a psycho, right? cause psycho was great character, I mean yeah crazy and maniac but still great.
Hmmm I do not know what more to say, I think that if you loved first season then for sure you will like second - for me second was even better (althougth I missed a girl!), worth watching as long as you like revenge, bullying and violence.
