Catching up with the rest of the group

Qin has her interview and is told straight up that while she brings some innovative ideas to the table she needs to up her game in the academics she lacks. She is studying like crazy trying to make up for lost time. She is told to go to an economics council meeting and bring supplies for their colleague. She unfortunately arrives just before taping and is not allowed to greet colleague. There is a sound mishap and she uses that opportunity to get the colleague some notes for the interview. The taping is disrupted by the wife of one at the table and all hell breaks looses. Qin rescues the colleague from a champagne glass shower when the table collapses. Qin literally makes herself a shield. Shu goes home all ready to take hubby to meet for interview. He has already changed it to their mutton shop and that it’s more a catch up session and he’d already turned down the job. They then have an argument. It is not clear if Shu has been embarrassed at the e demotion to eatery cook or is she thinks husband is distressed being out of his job field. It is also not clear if he’s being defensive about starting over in law or mad that his wife is ashamed of his job. They definitely have things to discuss. The bottom line it should be whatever helps Fei through her trauma and not the ego of either parent. We don’t know if he is using Fei to hide out or if Shu’s job makes her to unreliable for all the care Fei needs on any given day. Could they even consider hiring a third party to fill in the gap to give parents a break? Hopefully we will get to see them hammer this out and come to a resolution that makes way for all parties. I still think her hubby very negligent when he dropped off Tong. I can’t excuse him for that no matter how close her house seemed to be. You don’t drop a child off at a dark alley to get home unescorted. But Shu is overstepping when she doesn’t have a chat with hubby first to see what he thinks instead of getting miffed when he doesn’t want to go along with plans concerning his livelihood made without his input. I don’t think she would be cheering if things reversed. Shen is stepping back and weighing the jobs before him. He sees how the law penalizes filial care because it looks at the bottom line more than valuing daily family care. Is a job in high court so much more important than helping the stability of families? Right now he is in the same boat as his friend who is salty about it claiming he should have bf compensation. Shen mocks him but at same time knows his pain. Qin finds herself the designated lawyer for a big divorce case. For once she is not doing all the legwork to get the info she needs. I am thinking the child at the end deciding on which parent to reside with is going to be with this case. The two greedy brothers lost their case to the filial sister. However, they are already plotting an appeal which I find shameful and disgusting. But for now the sis that has gone through so much grief has a respite and they have 15 days to overturn or accept judgment.Qin and Shen miss each other but their careers are dragging them to their respective polar corners.
