Personal top 3 worst (most frustrating and self-righteous) love dramas
I'll keep it short. If I could give this drama 0, I would. The most frustrating, self-righteous, and quite hypocritical writing and the most forced main couple I have seen so far. Right up there with Alchemy of Souls and K2. Quite boring ML, absolute zero char development (along with a bad actor - like if you're gonna play the god almighty you better bring your A game otherwise you're just a self-righteous stuck up arrogant prick) and FL lead that goes from cute, interesting and fiery to a psychotic stalker in a span of an episode. Pretty much FL is borderline stalking and physically harassing ML for several episodes and he's literally physically & violently pushing her away, to the point where it gets really distasteful - have some self-respect girl. And then he just falls in love. Why? Don't ask, just plot armor that's why. If it was the other way around people would call him pervert, rapist and creep. Those same people who are calling SML a "creep" later in the series. Make it make sense.I'm quite allergic to this childhood love bullshit enough as it is. But here it's done so idiotically that from now on I don't even want to hear about it. "He saved my life when I was little and now I owe him my life" - and ofc that means I'm automatically in love with him?! (facepalm) . Who thought that that lames excuse of a reason in a 3 sec flashback would justify bout 8 eps worth of that distasteful behavior? But biggest problem was SML, because he steals the scene every time he comes on screen. And I'm not talking, oh look how beautiful he is (although that to:)), but like the fusion of a really intriguing character and a great actor is amazing. But hey no here's this bland, boy-scout ML that makes FL act all psychotic ?!? I mean we don't need a good reason, she has to because he's the ML duuh. And when they finally make an interesting choice to do a reversal of that stupid reason and start playing with the idea of consistency vs reality, they in a span of 2 min (ofc again without any explanation) not only go back to their stupid ways but double down. So when the fact that he saved her life was useful for her to act all psychotic, she wore it lake a badge of honor and of course it was because she was loyal and it was the only guiding principle, unshakable no one could question it. And she was a character of principles! But when it no longer served the purpose, oh all of a sudden she's a free spirit and goes with the flow. No rules whatsoever. Not to mention the stupidity of not clearing up this misunderstanding in the first place. Are you like 3 years old? You don't know how to talk to people? Here let me fix is for you:
a)Hey I'm the girl that you saved 10 years ago in the Bright Moon Villa, I looked a bit different.
b)I wasn't there 10 years ago/don't remember.
a)To herself: Maybe that wasn't him. I need to investigate. I'm not 10 years old pubescent teenager anymore, I am an adult now. Goes to investigate ... but I guess that's too common sense.
Then the writes go and try to use characters meta-talk to explain away the all the shitty choices. "Love will make you do stupid stuff". No your bad writing will make characters do stupid shit and you know it. If you have some weird fetishes go and write for a docu-drama show about stalkers, or a trashy-reality tv.
Then around ep 16 they finally bring out the big guns - the forced amnesia trope. I just couldn't take it anymore. Might as well watch an episode of Kardashians.
So If you are looking beyond idol worshiping, childhood love, trashy romance and SML syndrome and if you have any self-respect this is definitely not for you.

GREAT BUT WITH NO CHEMISTRY
Both actor and actress are with good acting skills ik i have watched zhang binbin and sun zhenni other dramas too but I don't find any chemistry between main leads ... instead I'm finding that wang dou( nan xu yue )and sun zhenni( mu xuanling) have a chemistry...i m not hating anybody....Story plottings are good but it's just that I'm not finding the chemistry between the main leads...and ik everybody has their own opinion, so in my opinion i might stop watching this just because i don't find the chemistry between them .. it's ongoing and i have watched it upto 15 eps but...Still there are many watchers who liked it so it might only be my thoughts about chemistry...

Great Drama to Start 2025
This drama hook me since eps. 1 and it has fast pace. Zhang Binbin shows us how powerfull his character in the drama. There is no lazzy fighting scene. The chemistry between ML, FL & SML are so good. The comedy is enough in the first 10 eps. I'm ready to get more angst story in next episode and Youku you better give us happy ending.
I saw Mu Xuan Ling as Pian Ran in the first episode, especialy when she is in red. But Pianran role disappear in eps 5. All i see in Mu Xuan Ling.
Nan Xu Yue reminds of Runyu from the Ashes of Love. A villain who is a soft boy.

À Captivating show
Being a fan of both sun zhenni and Zhang binbin, I was really waiting for this show since the rumors emerged, let me tell you, this show really live up to my expectations. The story is a typical xianxia with fresh new elements (for people who said that the plot is kinda cliché it's just xianxia is not for you) I really like the unusual character of the FL and her interactions with both MLS.
As for ML (Zhang binbin) nailed his role for the first part ( people who say there's a lack of expressions, just stand and talk... Seriously?! They don't understand the character of Xie he's cold, had a tough father, went through hardships , it's the character that requires that stiffness and I believe everyone will enjoy his development in the future. I also liked SML interactions with FL and ML, the comedy is also present just the right amount not too heavy.
The CGI is very good in my opinion I enjoyed the artistic effects during the fights and environment.
The chemistry between leads is on fire, I think this show has all the elements to be one of the best xianxia.

In my opinion, the drama the blossoming love is a very good drama with interesting, new scenes, and plot twists. The acting of the actors and artists who play this drama is also very good, professional, cool, and in accordance with their respective characters. The drama script is also very good, detailed, and detailed from the novel (because I read the novel) the drama script reviser made the scenes and plots in the drama very neatly, in detail, and still follow the novel but with small parts that have been revised to be better. I am happy that in the drama there are not many jealous and misunderstanding scenes because of the second female lead. In the drama there are also many motivational words, funny scenes and conversations so that you don't get bored watching it.
For their roles, they play their characters very, very well and their chemistry is also very, very felt.
Moreover, the fighting scenes and CGI are very fitting, cool, suitable, and very good.
I like Xie Xuechen's role the most because Xie Xuechen is a person who has a strong stance to uphold the truth, is confident in his own judgment, is not selfish, thinks of many people, and is responsible for his city and his mistakes.
Mu Xuanling's character is a character who is not actually evil but she is forced by circumstances to become evil to take revenge for the death of her brother who once gave her happiness even for just one day. I like Xuanling's courage in pursuing Xuechen, she will do anything to be close to Xuechen, she is also an expressive person when she teases, is happy, and hates.
The love story between Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling really touches my heart and the chemistry shown by the two of them is very good because at first it was because Xuanling kept chasing and approaching Xuechen but Xuechen didn't believe me Xuanling (of course because she is a holy woman of darkness) until finally after going through days and many problems together Xuechen knows that Xuanling is actually good and he slowly falls in love with Xuanling. But their names are from two different camps, there are so many problems that occur but in the end they solve their respective problems and reunite. I like their courage and confidence in defending their respective love choices 😍🤩.
Nan Xuyue's role here is gray because on the one hand she was initially good at helping Xuechen and Xuanling on the other hand she was also evil because she worked with the Xiuxian pavilion as well as when she became Tian Ming her character was gray but finally she repented and worked with Xuechen and Xuanling.
For the scene 10,000 years ago, for some reason I felt bored with the scene because the scene was really slow so I felt bored but I was still trying to understand the events 10,000 years ago because that was the beginning of the story of this blossoming love.
Fortunately after the scene 10,000 years ago where in the present the scene between the demon leader, Zhao Ming and Mu Xuanling caught my attention again so I continued watching the drama.
Overall I am happy for the ending of the drama, it is a happy ending because it is very rare for Xiaxia to have a happy ending, so I think the ending is good because the drama team made it a happy ending like in the novel.
Thank you to the entire team who made the drama The Blossomong Love because the drama was entertaining, motivating, and enjoyable for me.

Masterpiece 99.5% (Very Small Spoilers about the ending)
To summarise, this drama is GREAT especially from episodes 1-30. The story is unexpected and intriguing. The acting/casting is the best. No bad actors. Sun Zhen Ni is a new favourite of mine due to this drama and in my opinion, the star of this drama. Everytime she’s on screen, I’m captivated. She’s a great actor, and absolutely gorgeous. She does such a phenomenal job of playing the flirty, bad and direct FL. Her character, Mu Xuan Ling, is one of my favourites too! I truly hope Sun Zhen Ni can get many more main roles, where she gets to play a similar character as it suits her. Also she knows how to kiss. ✨The pairing is absolutely great. There’s immediate chemistry from the moment they’re both on screen and off screen too. I keep watching their interviews together. I truly hope they can get paired together again in the future.
The CGI / special effects are very good in this drama. The cinematography and music are also really nice.
Anyway, the only flaws in this drama are at the end. The whole Pearl and Zhao Ming story drags and takes up too much time. To resolve all of that, we are only left with about 4-5 mins for Xie Xue Chen and Mu Xuan Ling to reunite. I was really hoping they would get more time together and we could see a marriage and stuff. Instead, the ending was very underwhelming and not fit for such a great romance that we had for 30 episodes. 😭

It was good
I like the Female lead Mu Xuan Ling she is bold and i also like when she flirts with the male lead Xie Xue Chen. There was only two character that I hated in this whole drama like a lot it was Nan Xu Yue and Tian Mìng Shu although they were both acted by the same actor they were double role in away. I have no beef with the actor that play the role of Nan Xu Yue and Tian Mìng Shu he's just doing his job but I really didn't like the character even at the end of the last episode. There are like 3 couple in this drama one of the ship are:1.Sang Qi&Su Ning Xi: There story was the most painful in the drama because Sang Qi was deceived by Su Ning Xi sister think that she had betray him by taking Su Ning Xi form and cutting off his arm and for over a 1000 years he had Su Ning Xi but when it was revealed that Su Ning Xi never betray Sang Qi and what they did to her dead body was pretty messed up. I cry like 5 tears draop and I'm not much of a crier but if I cry 5 then it's definitely messed up and painful what they did to Su Ning Xi dead body. Su Ning Xi die by drinking poison because she thought that her sister and master had killed Sang Qi because that's what the had told her while giving her the severed hand
2.Feng Xiang &Qian Guang Jun: This one wasn't my type I don't like this ship but it did made me cry because FX ask for immortality from a deity and let's just say her wish had consequences she end up in a loop where she is stuck on one day even if the previous day she meet a person she will not remember them her member will reset to the loop 6000 years ago. To make matters much worse Qian Guang Jun decided to make a wish from the same deity to stay by FX side every day and they will die together his wish was fulfilled but at a price he was her shadow she can never see him in the light but if it's dark she can see him but she will forget everything that they talk about once they meed because FX is stuck in a loop. QGJ end the loop by making a deal with ZM and the price was his soul in short he had to die. after he die FX was out of the loop QGJ taught that if he wip her memories of him in them she will live her life to the fullest but FX and him had the same cultivation base so the memory wip didn't happen she remembered him but act like she don't because QGJ one wish was for her to be happy once the loop is broken.
3. the main couple I like XXC and MX ship they trust each other a lot knowing full well that they would never betray each other. They never misunderstand each other when it comes to their romantic relationship. I need more couples like this where they trust each other and know how well each other thinks about the other. I also love the flirting MX she is hella funny and cute when she messes around with XXC.
out of the 3 couples I only like the main couple because the trust each other a lot and never misunderstand each other.

it might give you spoiler
honestly I never write reviews and it's my first time written a one as well just because of this drama, it's so good very first I love the female lead so much, she is cute and strong in the drama and the story is just fabulous and the acting done by the cast were great. now I would like to say some point about our main character.1) Mu xualin/ Chaos pearl
she was strong enough to recreate whole drama again and again like loop hole as in past she give her power to that cyclic kind of deity who can fullfill wishes and he was waiting for our main ml and eventually he (ml) get to know that the mister she mentioned to him was none other than himself as he goes back in time just to rescue her from that incident where she met the demon lord sang Qi but as the story unfolds we get to know he can help her but can't changed the fate, and I feel bad for pearl as her Love story has tragic end again and again but as my xualin she get her happy ending at the end.
2) Xie Xue Chan/ Zao ming/ Demon lord:
from the very start his character was well written and all the three characters is well played by the actor, I feel bad for demon lord as he spend 10 thousand years in suffering and think pearl betrayed him but as the story unfold we get to know that his memories were manipulated by the fate so at the end he as Zao ming make the same choice and the give happy ending to our main leads.
at the last I would like to share some thoughts on one of the character who suffered because of misunderstanding and feel betrayed by his lover but in actually it never happen, poor sang Qi (I cried so much when he died)
overall the drama was good watch just go for it and yes it a happy ending 🙌🏽✨.

Great series!
I love this series. Bravo to Zhang Bin Bin, Jenny Sun, Wang Luo and all the cast. The journeys of each character with their strengths, weaknesses, insight, clarity, courage, determination, resilience, devotion… really well done!A beautiful and heartfelt contemplation and examination of various aspects of humanity, in external relationships and internal discovery and understanding.
There is fun humor, very touching emotion between characters and in what certain characters go through internally.
This series is a fun escape from “current events” (my euphemism for so much going on presently) but it is also one that gives a lot to contemplate about the various realms, about humanity and the capacity for humans to continue in suffering or to facilitate liberation.

Everything in this xianxia was perfect!!!
I really really admire the fl!!! She's so so hot, sexy and pretty!!! I also super like Zhao Ming emperor styling!!! Gosh those purple long hair was suits Zhang Binbin so much! It's a crime not to have longer screentime with that aesthetic. Anyways enough of that.I love the pacing. It wasn't too fast or too slow.
I want to thank the writers for not introducing a side chick second fl who is crazy in love with ml. I'm glad they're just besties. Although the second ml was crazy too, I understand that he doesn't understand emotions or whatever. His storyline was so sad towards the end, I even cried and sympathize with him.
I love all the side characters like main couple, secondary couple, and Fate. All of them have interesting stories and past life.
I felt sad for the story arc of the girl who kept reincarnating.

SASSY saintess of the dark ❤️ NOBLE lord of the immortals
this drama had me hooked for the first 25 episodes—like, I genuinely thought I had discovered something better than the cult favorites like TTEOTM and Unchained. The storytelling, the characters, the intensity—it was chef’s kiss. But then... (sigh) someone really needed to tell the writers that less is more. Instead of wrapping it up in 30 episodes, they decided to give us filler arcs we never asked for. But anyway, let’s break this down properly because I have thoughts.1) Interesting Characters – No Basic Good vs. Evil Trope Here!
This drama didn’t serve the classic hero-villain formula; instead, it explored the angels and demons within each character. We got a main lead who starts as an immortal sect leader, then becomes a saint emperor, and finally, a demon lord (talk about career progression). The side lead? He starts off as a timid little guy but slowly reveals his morally grey shades.
But let’s talk about the real star here—our FL. She is:
✔ Sassy
✔ Smart
✔ Bold
✔ Straightforward
✔ Funny
✔ A queen who pursues her man without hesitation (no unnecessary pining here)
✔ Takes responsibility for the people she loves
Honestly, I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said she’s one of the best female leads I’ve ever seen. And she stays consistently amazing till the very end, which is RARE.
2) The Plot – A Full Buffet of Genres, But...
This drama gave us romance, comedy, suspense, thrill, adventure—basically, everything packed into one show, and it was well-balanced. No genre overpowered the other, which is usually hard to pull off. The sweet romance and cute comedy moments were adorable. BUT…
❌ Too many filler arcs. Do I really need to know the backstory of every single character, from a bodyguard to a noodle seller? NO.
❌ Lotus of Life arc dragged on for too long. We get it. Move on.
❌ The goddess and her lover’s curse arc—completely unnecessary. I still don’t get what purpose it served in the grand scheme of things.
❌ Too many reincarnation parallels. I understood why the saint emperor, Pearl, and Fate had past lives—it made sense. But why was the royal bodyguard reincarnated too? I’m sorry, who asked for this?
And then there’s this plot hole: Xie Xuechen from the present goes back in time to help Mu Xuanling and dies, only to be saved by the Chaos Pearl. But what happens to the Xie Xuechen already existing in that timeline?? Crickets.
3) The Cast – Just Perfection
Sun Zhen Ni is already a favorite, thanks to TTEOTM, and she absolutely killed it here. Her voice modulations? On point.
Vin Zhang? Hottie alert. I’ve been obsessed with him since Rattan.
Wang Duo (Sword and Fairy) and Zhang Ya Qin (Ancient Love Poetry) added to the magic.
Special shoutout to the child actress playing young Mu Xuanling—she was insanely talented!
4) The Costumes – Fashion Goals
The Saintess of the Dark costume?? ICONIC.
Every single outfit was next-level, but the Demon Lord’s, Fate’s, and Goddess Pearl’s outfits were just wow.
The accessories? From chains to crowns—perfection.
5) OST – Small but Mighty
Unlike Guardians of the Defang and Love Between Fairy and Devil, which had an entire playlist of bangers, this drama only gave us one standout OST. But you know what? That one song was enough.
6) Set Design – Dark Abyss Was a Masterpiece
The details in Dark Abyss were stunning, and the lava valley VFX? SO REALISTIC.
That said, Snow City could’ve been better. I expected more from them on that one.
7) Why Wasn’t This in Full HD?!
I don’t know if they intentionally kept the quality low to hide set flaws, but even on streaming platforms claiming to be HD—it wasn’t true HD. And that’s a crime because I couldn’t even fully admire the details of the FL’s stunning accessories.
8) Action Scenes – An Absolute Feast for the Eyes
The first 15 minutes of the drama alone gave us a high-intensity Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling escape sequence. And that was just the start! Every action scene was flawlessly performed and choreographed.
9) My Favorite Takeaways
✔ Going back in time to meet your GF as a kid and getting jealous of your future self. (Peak romance!)
✔ Lip bite and love bites. Enough said.
✔ She fell hard, but he fell harder.
✔ Even after becoming the Demon Lord and suffering 10,000 years of punishment, he still couldn’t hurt her. The jealousy levels whenever he saw her with Fate?? Priceless.
10) The Ending – Satisfying, But…
They changed the course of time so that the Demon Lord never even existed because he willingly accepted his punishment. It was a good ending, but deep down, I wanted the Demon Lord to have his own closure.
Final Verdict:
This was an incredible drama that I will 100% rewatch. The first 25 episodes were near-perfect, and even with the unnecessary filler, it’s still one of the best fantasy romance dramas out there.
