Everything in this xianxia was perfect!!!

I really really admire the fl!!! She's so so hot, sexy and pretty!!! I also super like Zhao Ming emperor styling!!! Gosh those purple long hair was suits Zhang Binbin so much! It's a crime not to have longer screentime with that aesthetic. Anyways enough of that.
I love the pacing. It wasn't too fast or too slow.
I want to thank the writers for not introducing a side chick second fl who is crazy in love with ml. I'm glad they're just besties. Although the second ml was crazy too, I understand that he doesn't understand emotions or whatever. His storyline was so sad towards the end, I even cried and sympathize with him.
I love all the side characters like main couple, secondary couple, and Fate. All of them have interesting stories and past life.
I felt sad for the story arc of the girl who kept reincarnating.

SASSY saintess of the dark ❤️ NOBLE lord of the immortals

this drama had me hooked for the first 25 episodes—like, I genuinely thought I had discovered something better than the cult favorites like TTEOTM and Unchained. The storytelling, the characters, the intensity—it was chef’s kiss. But then... (sigh) someone really needed to tell the writers that less is more. Instead of wrapping it up in 30 episodes, they decided to give us filler arcs we never asked for. But anyway, let’s break this down properly because I have thoughts.

1) Interesting Characters – No Basic Good vs. Evil Trope Here!

This drama didn’t serve the classic hero-villain formula; instead, it explored the angels and demons within each character. We got a main lead who starts as an immortal sect leader, then becomes a saint emperor, and finally, a demon lord (talk about career progression). The side lead? He starts off as a timid little guy but slowly reveals his morally grey shades.

But let’s talk about the real star here—our FL. She is:
✔ Sassy
✔ Smart
✔ Bold
✔ Straightforward
✔ Funny
✔ A queen who pursues her man without hesitation (no unnecessary pining here)
✔ Takes responsibility for the people she loves

Honestly, I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said she’s one of the best female leads I’ve ever seen. And she stays consistently amazing till the very end, which is RARE.

2) The Plot – A Full Buffet of Genres, But...

This drama gave us romance, comedy, suspense, thrill, adventure—basically, everything packed into one show, and it was well-balanced. No genre overpowered the other, which is usually hard to pull off. The sweet romance and cute comedy moments were adorable. BUT…

❌ Too many filler arcs. Do I really need to know the backstory of every single character, from a bodyguard to a noodle seller? NO.
❌ Lotus of Life arc dragged on for too long. We get it. Move on.
❌ The goddess and her lover’s curse arc—completely unnecessary. I still don’t get what purpose it served in the grand scheme of things.
❌ Too many reincarnation parallels. I understood why the saint emperor, Pearl, and Fate had past lives—it made sense. But why was the royal bodyguard reincarnated too? I’m sorry, who asked for this?

And then there’s this plot hole: Xie Xuechen from the present goes back in time to help Mu Xuanling and dies, only to be saved by the Chaos Pearl. But what happens to the Xie Xuechen already existing in that timeline?? Crickets.

3) The Cast – Just Perfection

Sun Zhen Ni is already a favorite, thanks to TTEOTM, and she absolutely killed it here. Her voice modulations? On point.
Vin Zhang? Hottie alert. I’ve been obsessed with him since Rattan.
Wang Duo (Sword and Fairy) and Zhang Ya Qin (Ancient Love Poetry) added to the magic.
Special shoutout to the child actress playing young Mu Xuanling—she was insanely talented!

4) The Costumes – Fashion Goals

The Saintess of the Dark costume?? ICONIC.
Every single outfit was next-level, but the Demon Lord’s, Fate’s, and Goddess Pearl’s outfits were just wow.
The accessories? From chains to crowns—perfection.

5) OST – Small but Mighty

Unlike Guardians of the Defang and Love Between Fairy and Devil, which had an entire playlist of bangers, this drama only gave us one standout OST. But you know what? That one song was enough.

6) Set Design – Dark Abyss Was a Masterpiece

The details in Dark Abyss were stunning, and the lava valley VFX? SO REALISTIC.
That said, Snow City could’ve been better. I expected more from them on that one.

7) Why Wasn’t This in Full HD?!

I don’t know if they intentionally kept the quality low to hide set flaws, but even on streaming platforms claiming to be HD—it wasn’t true HD. And that’s a crime because I couldn’t even fully admire the details of the FL’s stunning accessories.

8) Action Scenes – An Absolute Feast for the Eyes

The first 15 minutes of the drama alone gave us a high-intensity Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling escape sequence. And that was just the start! Every action scene was flawlessly performed and choreographed.

9) My Favorite Takeaways

✔ Going back in time to meet your GF as a kid and getting jealous of your future self. (Peak romance!)
✔ Lip bite and love bites. Enough said.
✔ She fell hard, but he fell harder.
✔ Even after becoming the Demon Lord and suffering 10,000 years of punishment, he still couldn’t hurt her. The jealousy levels whenever he saw her with Fate?? Priceless.

10) The Ending – Satisfying, But…

They changed the course of time so that the Demon Lord never even existed because he willingly accepted his punishment. It was a good ending, but deep down, I wanted the Demon Lord to have his own closure.

Final Verdict:

This was an incredible drama that I will 100% rewatch. The first 25 episodes were near-perfect, and even with the unnecessary filler, it’s still one of the best fantasy romance dramas out there.

Fate is evil or is it?

Fate is evil or is it? Moral of this show - You can't change fate or can you?

Wow. The writing in this story was just amazing. The twists and turns and how it all connected and came together. The OSR was amazing and really fit what was happening on the screen. The leads were amazing as well. There were some slow parts but the story and acting kept me watching and rarely fast forwarding. Watch this one! One of the best dramas of 2025 so far, for sure.

Why should we watch Blossoming love?

Blossoming love plot line is just perfect and exciting to watch. Male and female leads have strong chemistry so that non of any part of the drama is boring, but so thrilled and worth to watch. Female lead is perfect for the character (strong, flirting and cunning). When it combines with male lead's coldness, drama is more trilled to watch. After a long time, can have a drama with unique storyline.❤😍

Personal opinion but I think this C-drama is alright

Many might disagree, but I think this show is alright compared to what I've watched so far, and it also might be my own personal opinion + preference. So do not take this review to heart.

The start of the show was interesting, and it might've caught my interest, but further down the show I felt it was a little bit boring as the storyline felt quite cliche to me and there wasn't anything that caught my interest. Other than waiting for the ending and seeing how it all ends, I would've dropped the show.

Love vin zhang, in almost every I’ve seen him in .
Took a minute to get into this series, but now I’m hooked. Love pretty much all the characters in the series thus far. Hope 2nd ML will find his own love, otherwise things could get a sad or even bad due to inrequiteed love. FL can be a little annoying with constant chasing the ML. I know she made a great sacrifice for him the first life , even the don’t remember I guess she loves him just as much. That’s the one of the things I find rather troubling in these Asian movies/series the desperation the women usually show wanting a man so bad, even if his taken or his prior arrangement s with someone else. Sickening

Good one

The Blossom Love is a love story where a man and a woman are deeply entangled, with their births and childhoods mysteriously connected. It’s a bit complicated to explain, but after watching 10 episodes, I believe things become clearer.

The male lead reincarnates twice, and in each of his lives, the female lead remains connected to him. The story revolves around love, misunderstandings, revenge, and the battle between good and evil souls.

I particularly liked the male lead’s character when he turned evil—his attitude and performance were fascinating. Overall, I enjoyed the story, but the ending was disappointing. I feel it should have had a more complete closure.

Stand and talk

Stand and talk
Very attractive actors, including the well-known Vin Zhang. However, I usually quit a drama early if the lines are delivered while the actors mostly stand still (whizzing around or so-so CGI are extra). Because Zhang’s other works are good, I’ll keep watching. My favorite actors incorporate small gestures, expressions and in-hand props to increase complexity (Zhang Wan Yi) and I don’t see that yet.

Nice drama to start in 2025

I went with negative expectations into this drama. I read bad reviews here but I finally started because my fav YouTube editor said it’s good. So I thought to give a try. Initial 10 minutes I didn’t know what was happening and was confused at start. But after 10 minutes I picked up the plot and understood what was happening, it was real fun ride since then. I binged 6 episodes on official YouTube channel and I had to stop watching because of sleep. Story: there is plot, mystery , comedy and heartfelt messages. Loved characterisation of female lead a lot. She is kickass in this drama. ML is righteous but the actor portrayed very well. All the actors even the little girl bao here are top notch in acting. Some moments bring u tears especially the spirit clan excruciating pain. Once again love the FL a lot. The leads brought the story to life. Hoping rest of the drama is as good as the start.
