My demon
EDIT: After long consideration (really long cause after over the year and the fact that I liked Genie, make a wish basically the same) I have to change my rating to 8/10 (eh I hate it when I change my mind but well)First thing: Song Kang's character is Doom at your service couple's son! In general this drama reminded me about DAYS and that is one of the reasons I have watched this.
Chemistry was good.
Jo Hye Joo - she reminds me Shuhua from G-idle - her character was soo annoying, I only liked her in last episode. But do not get me wrong, cast did really good job.
Spoiler - there is a happy ending - if someone only watch this type of drama.
If you like drama with non-human--human romance then yes, you have to give it a chance.

Falls apart by the end
As this was one of the first K-dramas I ever watched, the sense of novelty kept me interested for longer than I would have been had I watched this drama at a later time. The set up is definetly interesting for both the characters and the plot but it seems as if the writers completely lost it and where just winging it by the end.Personally I wouldn't accuse either Kim You Jung or Song Kang of being strong actors, so their 'chemistry' to me just read as two attractive people trying to act that they're falling in love. Slow-mo shots, accidental touching and closed proximity is a natural part of a rom-com, but when that is all you can offer in the 'chemistry' department it feels extremelly superficial.
Of course, every drama won’t suit everyone’s taste, but for those who like genuine emotional depth over glossy aesthetics and trope heavy romance, this one might fall short.

how can you ruin something so fast
watching this drama was extremely frustrating because the jeon guwon character fits song kang so perfectly but the writing was a crazy messit started off good, i loved the funny scenes, the drama, the romance, all the fantasy. but they completely lost me on episode 12 when they added plot over plot after lot's of pointless things that happened before.. and why add so much more drama with 4 episodes left?
i came in worried it would be like goblin from some stuff i saw beforehand but it was going so good... until it didn't. do i need to say anything about the 15th episode ending?
i was a lot happier about seeing guwon reuniting with his gang than with dohee lol ig that says a lot. last episode for me was around 20 minutes long, i watched in 2x speed and jumping a lot of scenes because i just couldn't care. the mom-son part was kinda good to see but also infuriating because of how they were both screwed by that man and she only actually felt for her son so long after he died.
until the 10th episode it was great for me but everything after became a mess that only got worse, i think it is a 7 stars drama in consideration of the first half of it, the amazing cast, the chemistry between the main leads and the humour. wasn't the worst drama ever but i just couldn't enjoy the end with all the plot holes, nonsense and rushed pass.

More like demonic revenge...
I started watching this drama with a bit of hesitation just because of the plot and some of the tags are not my usual cup of tea but since I saw quite a bit of hype on the drama and also the fact that I've never watched a Song Kang drama before (I know, long overdue) I took the dive. For starters Song Kang is perfect, his acting is flawless, his smile is super cute - I will definitely be looking up his other dramas. Similarly YooJung is beautiful and she played her role so well. Together, they make an eye-candy sweet couple and I enjoyed seeing them together.
However, that is mostly where my pleasure ends. A drama soaked with many deaths, some tragic and sad others drawn out and for lack of a better term, long-awaited. A very sad, guilty and revenge-seething plot that was quite depressing and heavy to watch. A family torn apart by guilt and revenge that hurt everyone.
I will say I am a tad confused by the ML's ending as he got back his powers but his love story with the FL is still referred to as being too short since he will continue to be immortal whereas she will one day die like normal humans. In the middle of the drama he kind of admitted he no longer wanted to be a demon either as well...
P.S. Side note from someone who is a practicing young adult of faith. As can be expected way more than half of any of the references to religions/faith need to be taken with a very huge heaping spoonful of salt. However within the majority of that there was a small amount that held surprising amount of insight.

When your evil overlord turns into a cuddly boyfriend halfway through the contract
This drama performs like an up-and-coming magician who did not quite live up to its name. First, the set-up looks interesting: all the characters are there, playing their own roles, wearing fancy clothes, complete with the sob-backstory so they can seem more endearing. Then, we are razzled-and-dazzled with more glitter with a snap of a finger or ten. Hoping you don’t notice the loopholes, the writers juggle things around, employing slow motion and time travel tricks to mesmerize and confuse you. Then they attempted to throw you a red-herring, but it’s not really a red-herring because they made the villain so obvious that you think, “it can’t be that easy, right?”Well, that’s what “My Demon” ends up being and the lackluster acting from Song Kang isn’t helping the show. Though he’s easy on the eyes, and albeit playful, I couldn’t believe that people are supposed to fear this guy! It’s like sending Bugs Bunny to play Batman. I was expecting for the banter between Gu Won and Do Hee to carry throughout the show, but after he realized his warm feelings for her, the “Demon” became a sap.
It was a good thing then that Do Hee wasn’t entirely hopeless even after entering a contracted relationship with the devil himself. She stuck to her guns despite the obstacles thrown her way. I also loved her relationship with the Chairwoman. I wish there was more of that in the show.
The rest of the characters are cardboard cutouts with one dimensional personalities. Frankly, the only thing that prevented some of them from disappearing into the background are the actors’ performances.
The comedic relief provided by the unlikely tandem of Park Bok Kyu and Shin Da Jeong is quirky at best and cringey at worst. I guess we can say the same about the Gang boss, whose minions were just there to fill up the screen.
In the beginning, “My Demon” looks like it had a good concept, but the writing and execution were lacking. If you take this drama with a grain of salt, you might enjoy the visuals.

Just Okay
I thought this drama would be good, but instead, I was disappointed.I watched this drama with my Mom and Sister, and they both were disappointed as well. The drama started off good, but around episode 12, it seemed like they were preparing to end the show. All of the episodes after started to drag out. I also thought that the plot could have gone more in-depth. While watching, I thought that the chemistry between the main leads never fully developed. I really wanted to like this show, but it seems this drama is just not for me.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR BASED ON NEW CONCEPT THEN DON'T WATCH IT
THE STARTthis show started as a very exciting drama, I loved how the roles suits them & very expensive taste it had in the beginning. it gave me a very elegant vibe.. no one appreciated the Jeon gu won outfits, they were very cool.. I had many expectations on this.. I love how slowly gu won behavior change and their chemistry was wow the cast was way too perfect
THE FINAL
my expectations starts going down 📉 after watching that it has past lovers misfortune.. this 2023 was full of past lovers misfortune means almost the same story but in different font.. I would say that the storyline was really dumb but only ml & FL carried the show w their goofy chemistry.. the story is really slow & boring the first 9 episodes were good but not the rest of it. the ending was nothing but a copy paste from another Kdrama story I already knew that it would have a happy ending cuz seeing how the story line went & sorry to offend you but gu won wasn't a green flag he was only a green flag towards do do he and some dialogues were really cute & some dialogues were cringe obviously it was the directors fault
MORAL
the story itself is unrealistic I love fantasy but it was so predictable ngl obviously there is no way anyone were gonna die in episode 10 after all we had more 6 episodes left also in episode 15 gu won was meant to comeback after all what will happen in 16 if the ml aint alive that's why I say it's very predictable it's nothing but a modern version of copy paste drama so if you are looking for new concept it's not the best

Was the Song Kang dramas curse finally broken?
I'll be honest, I left the last two episodes of the show on hold for a long time because I slowly lost interest in the story. However, I'm sure this is the best drama I've seen starring Song Kang lol. If you know, you know.I think I didn't enjoy some of the fantasy aspects of the show, but that could be a personal thing. Also I never connected deeply with the characters, which could explain my lack of interest towards the end.
I would still recommend if you enjoy fantasy dramas.

visually stunning filler
[Before we begin I have to shout out that intro. Never skipped and even replayed it sometimes. The visuals and vibes go too hard]I'll be honest, I wasn't on board with the show until about ep 4, but that proposal really sped things up for me. The story has your typical problematic chaebol family but some twists here and there. The jokes weren't landing in the beginning but things became funnier as this progressed.
The acting was ok. The FL carried hard. The visual chemistry is insane, and the romantic chemistry is good too. I'm still on the fence about SK’s abilities as an actor. Either the roles he's getting aren't challenging or he simply doesn't have the range. Either way he wasn’t the best here and at times I thought he forgot how to act. KYJ has such a charming face. The directors knew what they were doing casting her in this. Seok Hoon, Madam Ju, and Seok Min’s actors were good. Everyone else was just ok.
This was better than I thought it was gonna be but nothing to rave home about. I actually found myself looking forward to the ep drops, tho this had more to do with the fan service and visual aspect. I had to be honest with myself--this was a filler show. Visually pleasing but filler nonetheless. Everything else was what you'd expect from a fantasy drama with crazy rich people in the mix. I was never really invested in the overarching story at any point. We also got the predictable happy ending which is good for general kdrama viewers but bad if you expected more plot execution.

"My Demon": Song Kang & Kim Yoo-Jung Deliver Sparks in Supernatural Rom-Com
"My Demon" like two friends over coffee. So, picture this: you've got this icy heiress, Do Do Hee, running the world with a frozen smile and steely gaze. Then boom, this cocky demon, Jung Koo Won, crashes into her life, all smoke and shadow, only to lose his mojo in the most embarrassing way possible. Talk about awkward! They're forced to team up, navigating a world of hidden powers and simmering secrets, all while trying not to set each other on fire with their undeniable chemistry.Sure, the storyline might trip up here and there, but the banter between these two? Pure gold. Song Kang and Kim Yoo-jung have this crackling energy that just pops off the screen. You're laughing one minute, swooning the next, and wondering how someone can be so infuriatingly attractive. And the whole good-versus-bad, demon-and-human thing? It's not your typical love story, but that's what makes it so addicting. You're rooting for them even though it feels a little forbidden, a little dangerous.
By the end, you'll be misty-eyed (okay, maybe that's just me), but mostly satisfied. It's a show that leaves you wanting more, not because it's unfinished, but because you just want to hang out with these flawed, lovable characters a little longer. So, if you're looking for a fun, spicy ride with a touch of the fantastical, "My Demon" is definitely worth your time. Just grab your favorite drink, some tissues (just in case!), and get ready for a wild, heartwarming adventure.

Love this!
Wow, these reviews are brutal. A lot of them are picking My Demon apart piece by piece. So what if the story seems familiar in places? So what if there are ridiculous characters? The only thing that matters is if you enjoy the series. Which I did!! And, for that matter, I give it a 10! This isn’t rocket science. This is entertainment and I was thoroughly entertained.
I have never seen a more beautiful couple. I have rarely seen such chemistry between a couple in the many dramas I have watched. Their playfulness was adorable. Their tenderness towards each other was enviable.
I love the supporting characters as well. I still get teary eyed when I think of how the son was mistreated. That’s saying how powerful the emotions are in this series to stay with me.
Loved this so much.
