Jane has just stepped into a peaceful and simple university life, but that calm is soon disrupted. Inexplicably, it seems a senior has taken a dislike to her. That senior is Dai, last year’s university star, who keeps casting unreadable glances at Jane that don’t feel friendly at all. The trouble is, Jane has unexpectedly become this year’s Faculty of Fine Arts Star, and Dai, being last year’s uni star, is responsible for taking care of the new stars. As a result, they end up meeting far more often than Jane would like. Jane can’t help but wonder: why does this senior she barely knows keep smiling at her, peeling shrimp for her, buying her snacks… and occasionally even blushing? Jane knows the answer. She’s seen enough dramas to be sure. “When a girl looks at another girl like that, there’s only one explanation. She must really, really hate me!” (Source: WonderLife Entertainment YouTube; edited by kisskh) ~~ Adapted from the novel "Like a Palette: All Eyes on Jane" (Like A Palette Series เจนจะเป็นดาวสินกำ) by Zezeho. Reviews
The ending felt rushed
while overall its a decent ending, dai and jane were pretty cute, its was rushed. we got to see dai's freinds a couple of times but zero with janes friends. the time skip was pretty damn abrupt . i do hope these girls get another series tho, with a higher budget and longer more mature story. also the height difference is adorable
I guess…
I’d like to say that this is a series I decided to give a second chance to.That said, it won’t be for everyone, especially because some characters don’t appear very often.
The only real positive point I have to mention is the way trans women are portrayed it was refreshing to see.
However, the story goes in all directions. Dai’s group of friends made me laugh, but that’s about it. Luckily, the series is only eight episodes long.
