More holes tha a Swiss cheese
The premise of this series is so ridiculous that I couldn’t stop watching. I kept waiting for it to fall apart, but instead it kept pulling me in because I genuinely wanted to know where it was headed. A killer who couldn’t kill and a cop who couldn’t arrest, it sounds like the setup for a dark comedy, yet somehow the series makes it work. More than once I found myself wondering who was really in control. The chemistry between the leads doesn’t hit immediately, but once it does, the performances improve dramatically. They’re complete opposites, and while that usually makes for an easy dynamic, this series takes a more unconventional route. Their relationship develops in unexpected ways, making every interaction feel like another piece of a much larger puzzle.
The biggest strength of the show is that it constantly makes you question what you’re seeing. You know there’s a twist coming long before it’s revealed, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. Watching it felt like walking into a game of charades where everyone else already knew the answer, and I was the only one trying to figure out the rules. That lingering sense of uncertainty kept me invested until the very end.
It’s not a perfect series, but it’s different and sometimes that’s enough to make it memorable..

Good plot!
This was a good crime BL with a good plot. The fight scenes were good! It had good visuals and the music was good enough for the drama.
Kim Kyung Min wasn't really convincing as a cop. But the overall acting was very good.
The mains had good chemistry and the kisses were good.
I recommend watching.

The Disappointment We Lived In
The concept was great but the execution failed at every turn. The show starts off strong when the hitman knocks out the owner of a house and is told not to kill him but lock him in the basement while he has to search for a phone which for some reason, he doesn't actually spend time looking for. Then we get a guest at the house mistaking the hitman for his friend's brother. Turns out he's a cop. Sounds exciting, right? Except the cop is dumb as a doorknob. The problem is that the hitman isn't killing and the cop isn't investigating or arresting anyone. Also the cop can't fight nor use his brain. He is clearly not cut out for the job so MINOR SPOILER I was very happy he quits at the end.
There was solid potential for some thrill and tension but both characters turned soft. And then there's a mystery behind a death but none of it made sense. I'm not sure how they got away with the crime in the first place.
The 2 positives are that the theme music is great and all the actors are goodlooking. But the only acting I thought was decent was the hitman's. The script was weak and they managed to make the show feel very slow paced even at 20 mins an episode.
Amidst all the chaos, the leads manage some loving. It was a bit ridiculous but okay they looked good together.
I actually feel bad rating it poorly but the show fell well below my expectations.

The Lie We Should Have Lived In
Although this series is completely implausible, it is just so much fun to watch because it hooks you in with its preposterous premise. In hindsight, this might have worked better as a comedy, as the whole concept is ridiculous. To be sure, it is entertaining, but predictably so. We can guess how it is all going to come out after just a few episodes. That is how obvious it became. It is nonetheless intoxicating to watch given how handsome all the protagonists and antagonists were. This series, for all its faults, honestly does try. But due to inept writing, poor direction, and an absurd premise you have a bumbling inept individual who takes credit for solving a crime that he had nothing to with solving. But it sure is fun to watch simply for the silliness of it. Honestly, I think this would have been a great “Pink Panther” story if you get the reference. Was this review helpful to you?
And they lived happily, even after the lie
An intriguing, unique, and very engaging plot. The story follows a cop who crosses paths with an assassin while visiting his friend’s house, the same place where every hidden lie is eventually revealed. The buildup was done really well, with each episode becoming more intense as the story progressed.“I’m in love with the criminal.” Their relationship was one of the highlights. They argue, clash, and then end up sharing incredibly intimate moments afterward. The chemistry between them is undeniably sexy. Seo Yi Do is especially captivating, with his rugged masculine physique and sharp, defined features.
The reveal that Chu Tae Jeong’s longtime friends were involved in his father’s death was a solid twist, although I admittedly saw it coming. That episode was absolute chaos, in the best way possible. So many characters were stabbed or shot, yet somehow the two lovebirds remained alive and kicking through it all.
Overall, it was a good drama, though I feel it could have pushed its story even further, especially the ending. The execution of the scenes, especially the action sequences, was flawless. I had a great time watching it.

An interesting premise
So bad at reviews but things I hated about this movie1. acting is actually so bad it's unbelievable. somehow the only believable scenes were the intimate scenes between the leads
2. Incompetent characters so they can remain weak? you're a whole cop and you can't break out of a little fight
3. Everyone just showing up at the right huh, chulmin then Yidos boss.
4. Yido is so ruthless but never finished his job because he saw a cute guy he wanted to have sex with... uhmmm
things I liked
1. Chemistry was too good, when they would touch each others lips and look butay each other. Those intimate scenes were so lovely. It's obvious how much effort was put into it.
2. That sequence at the end seeing them running around, Yido smiling and his scar being so present but he's so happy.
improvements
1. Better acting will have made this way better even if the story has loopholes, unanswered questions and Is not well developed.
2. Competent professionals... don't tell me you're a cop when you can't even so anything. at least Yido showed his skills but we have to make the 'bottom' as weak as possible.
3. the storyline, the backstory just felt so rushed... we got the big idea but I think if we saw more. it will made the show much better.

It's worth watching!
I really enjoyed the series, the plot seemed boring at first but in the last episodes everything changed, the more I kept watching the more I wanted to watch and this is definitely something I love while watching a series. The acting was really good and I could definitely feel the tensionand behind the screen. There are some things in the plot that seems unrealistic like a cop no noticing your friends is actually not aboard but it's a series.
I felt so sorry for Chu Tae Jeong , all these years and everyone around him betrayed him. But sometimes i feel like his character could have been written better, and I like his development.
The main lovers are soo cute, knowing each others definitely give them an another chance to live again.
Its definitely worth watching! ( sorry for any mistakes English is not my first language)

So bad that it's almost good
Keyword being "almost".It is a kammerspiel focusing on a hitman and a police officer who have one thing in common: they are incredibly bad at their jobs. They stumble through a story with one incredibly stupid situation after the other. At least it is not boring.
But if there were a prize for most outstanding time to have sex, this would win.
Also, almost all of the story happens in one location (which did not bother me) and then BAM - a totally unnecessary 2-minute scene in Japan. Probably just to show off that one actor can speak Japanese?

I also really liked the relationship between I Do and Tae Jong. They had that very doomed lovers type of dynamic, and the way they genuinely cared for each other was really touching at times. Overall, it was a story that kept me entertained while still giving a lot of emotional moments, KBL is certainly on an incline and hope to see other series follow suit.

Thriller turns into intimacy
A BL story about a serial killer and a friendly police officer visiting his friend. This drama has great mystery elements and you can feel the tension. the length is good, I don't think it needed to be any longer than it already is. The ending is also satisfactory. The side characters are also confusing; some losers start doing drugs and kill an investigating cop? The "trouble" that the side characters get into are not described well. Since its quite a short drama it is better to focus on the main scenes and the chemistry of the couple rather than all of the details in the drama.
I still highly enjoyed the drama and hope to see more of the main leads.

Mesmerized
Literally created an account just for this review. 6 episodes in and it's becoming my favorite K-BL. The framing and cinematography are excellent, the story is rough without romanticizing the violence, and I'm buying the story. Every episode ends with some sort of cliffhanger and I appreciate how impactful they feel. I want to watch the next episode, not for the relationship but because the plot and editing make me want to see more.Minus point for the AI use in the generic.

The two MLs were excellent, as were all the co-stars. The story was engrossing, with action, suspense, and violence. The violence stems from the storyline of a corrupt politician and his corrupted son & the son’s friends, who knew little of right from wrong. The main storyline was about one man trying to find the truth behind his father’s death. It’s all very involved and I think they did a pretty good job of getting it across and resolving it all in 8 , 20-minute episodes.
Kudos to the studio who produced this and put forth a quality series.
