Love of Silom Delivers Everything I Wanted and More
This series came in strong and instantly set the bar high. After two years, seeing Poom and Up reunite feels like a full circle moment, and they return with something that feels fresh, grounded, and genuinely engaging. From the very first episodes, the show pulls you into its world with a sense of realism that makes the story feel alive rather than overly polished or artificial. What stands out most is how natural everything feels. The setting, the struggles, the emotions all come across as believable without trying too hard. There is a perfect balance between intensity and lighter moments, with just enough action and tension to keep things exciting while still allowing space for warmth and character growth. Nothing feels forced or cringey, which is honestly rare.
Poom brings a quiet strength to Wayu that makes him incredibly easy to root for. You can feel his determination and emotional depth without it being overplayed. Up, on the other hand, nails the guarded and distant nature of Krit while still letting subtle vulnerability slip through. Watching that emotional wall slowly shift is one of the most satisfying parts of the show.
And the chemistry is undeniable. It is not just about big dramatic moments but also the small, intimate details that make their connection feel real. A glance, a smile, a simple gesture carries so much weight. Those softer scenes are what truly make the relationship shine and pull you in emotionally.
What makes this series special is how it respects its characters. There is no unnecessary judgment or exaggerated conflict just for drama. Instead, it focuses on connection, growth, and the quiet ways people change each other’s lives.
This is easily one of the strongest Thai BLs this year. It is heartfelt, engaging, and beautifully acted, with a story that already feels meaningful this early on. If the rest of the episodes maintain this level, it is going to be something truly memorable.

Darker Themes
I love a lot about this drama. I do wish it was more like My Stand In only because I'm a sucker for hard emotional shows, I do love that they managed to somewhat water it down while still conveying the message. I can't wait for later episdoes, because that's when you know things are gonna take a turn probably for the worst if the trailer is to be believed. The acting is very amazing and you can tell that the actors grew together. It's a very good show overall. I can't wait for the next episode. Was this review helpful to you?
80% Magic Mike 20% plot
They are always dancing, like there is a sequence in almost every episode. If you like that kind of thing then this will probably be enjoyable. I get second hand embarrassment from the reactions of all the extras, but that's a me problem. The making is okay, the frame quality is good. Technical wise it's nothing too shabby. The acting is meh. I wish the writing was better. If they had developed the investigation part more, it would've been good. The extensive shot lengths of the dances take away from the seriousness of the narrative.
The lead actors have good chemistry and the baby is super cute. I didn't like any of the characters expect wayu & his friend. The ML is a grown ass man but acts like a teenager. The family are annoying.
Worth watching if you are unemployed.

Episode 10 felt like the calm before the storm.
A month has passed since Krit and Wayu separated, but neither of them has truly moved on.Wayu tries to return to a normal university life, and Mild remains faithfully by his side. Mild's confession is sincere and heartfelt, yet Wayu cannot accept it because his heart still belongs to Krit. Their scenes were painful to watch, not because of drama, but because they felt honest.
Meanwhile, Krit continues to keep his distance in order to protect Wayu and Singto from his father's influence. His loneliness is just as heartbreaking. Even when surrounded by people who support him, including Rose, he still chooses sacrifice over happiness.
What impressed me most in this episode was the contrast between the romance and the growing danger surrounding the trafficking investigation. The appearance of Ice becomes increasingly unsettling. From the moment he was introduced, something felt wrong about him, and Episode 10 only strengthens that suspicion.
The series has always balanced romance, crime, and family surprisingly well. While I am eager to see Krit and Wayu reunite, I am equally worried about what may happen to Wayu before that can happen.
And honestly, little Singto continues to steal every scene. Hearing him call Wayu "Toto" and Krit "Papa" reminds us what is truly at stake.
With only two episodes remaining, the story feels ready to explode.
A quieter episode emotionally, but one that successfully builds tension for what looks like a dramatic final stretch. ❤️

First Impression: Love of Silom (uncut version)
Overall: fantastic visuals with some nonsense plot. Final review could change a lot in either direction. Airing on WeTV uncut https://wetv.vip/en/play/bxtr3r0z3fgpe7d/u4102fulffn and WeTV cut https://wetv.vip/en/play/myqt8siebvvlfdd/x4102glny62(first episode was 15 minutes longer in the uncut version)
Content Warnings: manipulation, choking, violence, threatened rape
What I Liked
- visuals
- easy to understand premise
Room For Improvement
- what I would give for safe, sane, consensual and sexy BDSM in fictional media
- there was nonsense plot things like a person who was knocked unconscious was not immediately taken to a hospital, also police interviewing an apparent victim and perpetrator at the same place/time sitting side by side

Too Much "Dancing"
Bad acting, bad story, bad visuals, could not pay attention for the life of me. The actor who plays Krit has soulless eyes, you could stare at them for hours and nothing would be reflected back at you. I fear the rating is padded by people just wanting to see strippers. In the two episodes I barely managed to crawl through, at least half the runtime was the characters dancing "sexy?" purely to draw engagement. I also didn't appreciate the near rape scene within the first 10 minutes.I know the drama summary mentions a kid - you will never see this child. They are as irrelevant to the story as Wayus top three buttons on his shirt.
