Park Min Young is returning to the small screen with Amazon Prime Video's first Korean original drama.
According to production company High Ground, Park Min Young will be seen in Amazon Prime Video's first Korean original drama, The Confidence Man KR (tentative title).
The Confidence Man KR follows a trio of con artists with versatile talents as they pull off scams against villains from all walks of life.
Park Min Young plays the role of Yoon Yi Rang, the leader of the group — a con artist with a high level of intellect, so much so that she can be considered among the top 1%.
The production company stated, "The Confidence Man KR will be a new 'K-paper drama' with an exciting story that cleverly delves into the loopholes of the social system and a refreshing twist on the crime genre."
The Confidence Man KR is the first Korean drama selected to launch Amazon Prime Video's lineup of Korean originals. Until now, Korean dramas on the platform were featured on a separate Korean drama section, not as part of its lineup of originals.
High Ground stated, "Park Min Young's lead role in an Amazon original drama marks a milestone not only in her career but also in the history of K-content."
The Confidence Man KR began filming in September 2024 and has recently completed shooting all 12 episodes. It is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2025.
