On May 12, media outlets reported that Bae Suzy will be the main lead of the upcoming K-drama Men of Harem.
Bae Suzy's agency SOOP responded to the casting reports and confirmed that the idol actress has received the offer. They also reiterated that Bae Suzy is in the reviewing process and nothing has been decided yet.
This will possibly be the third upcoming K-drama project of Bae Suzy. This year, Bae Suzy will return to the K-drama scene with the upcoming Netflix original series Genie, Make a Wish. She will reunite with Uncontrollably Fond co-star Kim Woo Bin.
Next year, Bae Suzy will make her debut on the OTT streaming platform Disney+. She will lead the upcoming K-drama Delusion with Kim Seon Ho, Huh Joon Ho, and Choi Hyun Wook.
Bae Suzy is also leading the upcoming film Seven O'clock Breakfast Meeting for the Broken Heart. She will work alongside Lee Jin Wook, Yoo Ji Tae, Geum Sae Rok, Mi Ram, and Park Se Jin.
Men of Harem will be the joint work of director Lee Eung Bok (Sweet Home, Mr. Sunshine, and Goblin) and writer Hwang Jin Young (My Dearest and Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People). Studio Dragon will produce the upcoming series.
The upcoming K-drama will tell the fantasy romance story of a Queen who uses her male concubines to protect her position on the throne. The story will be based on a web novel of the same name.
