Fan Cheng Cheng's studio plans legal action against underage sasaeng fans
Recently, the production team of Tigers Sniff the Rose unveiled stills from the drama on its official Weibo account, accompanied by a poetic caption:
"Red plum blossoms glow against the night; auspicious snow brushes the robe.
Gazing together at the palace gate towers, traveling the long road side by side.
Snow falls upon the long streets, two silhouettes shoulder to shoulder.
Lantern light warms the cold times — may you dwell long in Chang'an (peace and stability)."
The drama is adapted from the web novel "Shang Gong Zhu" by Yi Ren Kui Kui, and stars Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui in leading roles.
In the series, Meng Zi Yi plays Mu Wan Yao, a daughter of the imperial family, who transforms a proud princess into an ambitious strategist, embarking on a path of growth marked by a marriage far from home, revenge, and a bloody return to the capital.
Li Yun Rui portrays Yan Shang, a man from a humble background — gentle and refined in appearance yet exceptionally intelligent — who rises against the odds as the "son of a disgraced official" and goes on to become a high-ranking official, upholding the greater good of family and nation.
The story follows young people who stir up the tides in turbulent times as they charge toward their ideals.
Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui previously starred in the hit historical drama Blossom and were awarded the Annual Quality Appeal Drama Star award. Thereafter, the two rose to stardom in China and among international C-drama fans. As such, many are eagerly anticipating their performances in the new series.
Although the broadcast date of the new drama Tigers Sniff the Rose has yet to be announced, the unveiling of the stills has sparked anticipation and widespread discussion on Chinese media platforms.
