Bona gets attacked by a possessed Shin Seul Ki in SBS's fantasy drama The Haunted Palace.
The Haunted Palace is a fantasy drama that follows Yeo Ri (Bona), the only granddaughter of a famous shaman who refuses to accept her destiny as a spirit medium, and Yoon Gap (Yook Sung Jae), who becomes possessed by an imugi, which is related to Yeo Ri, as they confront a vengeful spirit harboring a deep grudge against the royal family.
Shin Seul Ki plays Choi In Seon, an only daughter from a prestigious family, who is pure-hearted and kind.
The K-drama's production team released stills capturing a tense moment where Yeo Ri is suddenly and violently attacked by In Seon. In the pics, Yeo Ri stands defenseless on a street in broad daylight, when In Seon is seen charging toward her from behind.
What particularly stands out is In Seon's look, dressed in a plain white hanbok, completely unlike the refined attire expected of a nobleman's daughter, and her face covered in blood. On top of that, the way In Seon glares at Yeo Ri — her eyes filled not with emotion, but with madness — sends shivers down the spines. The scene raises curiosity about what could have happened between the two women.
Adding to the tension, Yeo Ri fiercely struggles in a physical confrontation with In Seon, who is possessed by a ghost. That's not all. In another still, someone suddenly begins to strangle Yeo Ri. She collapses to the ground, gasping for air, seemingly on the verge of death. The scene heightens curiosity about the true identity of the supernatural force attacking Yeo Ri — and whether she will be able to survive and overcome this harrowing crisis.
The Haunted Palace is coming on April 18, on Viki.
