BLACKPINK Kim Ji Soo and Seo In Guk's fantasy romance series, Boyfriend on Demand, has finally been confirmed as a Netflix original K-drama.

Netflix announced on February 20 that the upcoming K-drama Boyfriend on Demand (working title) will exclusively be released on their global streaming platform. According to reports, the K-drama will premiere in 2026. 

Boyfriend on Demand will showcase the lives of people who form connections with virtual boyfriends after subscribing to a service. The K-drama focuses on webtoon producer Seo Mi Rae, who tries to find love through a virtual dating simulation called Monthly Boyfriend.

Kim Ji Soo will portray the role of Seo Mi Rae, a webtoon producer.  Seeking risk-free love, she explores romance with different men in a virtual dating simulation called Monthly Boyfriend.

Seo In Guk, on the other hand, will portray the role of Park Gyeong Nam, a webtoon producer. He is Seo Mi Rae's colleague and rival in the office and one of the best in their field.

Aside from Kim Ji Soo and Seo In Guk, Ryu Abel, Park Ji Ho, Kang Min Woo, and Song Ha Na will also be part of the series' cast. 

Director Kim Jung Shik, who also created the series No Gain, No Love, Strong Girl Namsoon, and Work Later, Drink Now, will helm the upcoming K-drama.

Boyfriend on Demand will have a total of 10 episodes.

Boyfriend on Demand will be Kim Ji Soo's official debut to Netflix originals. The BLACKPINK member is currently starring in the Coupang Play original series Newtopia with Park Jeong Min. She will also join the cast of the upcoming film Omniscient Reader: The Prophet with Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Min Ho, Chae Soo Bin, After School's Nana, and Shin Seung Ho.

Meanwhile, Boyfriend on Demand will be Seo In Guk's fifth upcoming K-drama. He will also star in the new K-dramas Twelve, Smoking Gun, Literalism, and In Your Brilliant Season.

Seo In Guk will also return to the big screen with the upcoming film Boy. He will work alongside Cho Byeong Kyu, Yoo In Soo, and Jini.
