Cha Eun Woo is considering an offer to star in the drama Seorabeol Knife (literal title).

On August 11, his agency, Fantagio, told Donga.com, "Cha Eun Woo received an offer to appear in the drama Seorabeol Knife and is currently reviewing it. However, as he is still serving in the military, discussions have not yet reached a concrete stage."

Seorabeol Knife is the new drama from director Jang Tae Yoo of Bon Appetit, Your Majesty. It is reportedly set in the same universe as Bon Appetit, Your Majesty.

Bon Appetit, Your Majesty follows French chef Yeon Ji Young (Lim Yoon A), who time-slips into the Joseon Dynasty, where she struggles to please the palate of the tyrannical King Lee Heon (Lee Chae Min). The K-drama emerged as a major success, recording a personal best nationwide rating of 17.1 percent for its 12th episode (Nielsen Korea).

Meanwhile, Cha Eun Woo's military service is nearing its end, with about five months remaining until his discharge. However, one concern is the damage to his public image stemming from tax-avoidance allegations. Earlier in January, Cha Eun Woo became embroiled in allegations that he had evaded taxes, and the National Tax Service had issued an additional tax assessment exceeding 20 billion won (approx. 13.9 million USD). Following the controversy, Cha Eun Woo stated he had "paid all the relevant taxes."

However, he has recently filed an appeal against the National Tax Service (NTS). The appeal is an administrative review seeking to have the tax assessment revoked.

On August 2, a representative from his agency Fantagio told Sports Seoul, "Cha Eun Woo has filed a request for a tax adjudication in accordance with the procedures prescribed by law in order to obtain a legal ruling on the matter."
