Koo Kyo Hwan faces off against Shin Seung Ho in 'Reawaken Man: The Red'

On May 2, the fantasy zhiguai (tales of anomalies, stories about the supernatural) drama Tales of the Floating World officially began filming at Hengdian World Studios.
The series is adapted from the novel "Fusheng Wuyu" by Sha Luo Shuang Shu. It is produced by iQIYI, with Kaichang Pictures as co-producer; directed by Yi Jun; and stars Chen Zhe Yuan and Wang Chu Ran (in no particular order and billed equally) as the leads. Joining them are Deng Kai, Qin Tian Yu, and Zhang Wen Xin in other roles.

According to multiple fan reports, the drama is set against the backdrop of the "Bu Ting Teahouse," and uses "Fusheng Tea" as a medium to exchange stories of supernatural beings, linking together extraordinary cases across four historical periods — the Warring States, the Tang, the Song, and the Republican era.
Wang Chu Ran is reported to play the thousand-year-old tree spirit Sha Luo, who takes on the identity of the teahouse proprietress — sharp-tongued and money-minded, yet compassionate at heart. Chen Zhe Yuan is reported to play Ao Chi, a dragon clan's war deity who carries a dual identity as a Republican-era young marshal and a "ferocious dragon," hot-tempered yet deeply affectionate. Their thousand-year bond runs throughout the main storyline.
