Choi Si Won secures approval to identify malicious online posters, set to proceed with lawsuit


On July 3, Chinese thriller Lies Hunter, starring Cheng Yi, officially began filming in Hong Kong. Eric Tsang, who stars in the series and serves as its producer, shared a set of photos from the opening ceremony.


Eric Tsang previously revealed that Cheng Yi began preparing for the drama well in advance, meeting with police officers and psychology experts while also undergoing physical training for the role.
Lin Yan Ting, a psychologist who harbors a secret, possesses exceptional physical prowess and has a keen insight into human nature. But the hand of fate seems determined to harm his family and destroy his life. To clear his father's name, he joins the police force as a consultant, solving baffling cases while investigating the truth behind the death of a close family member.
Cheng Yi plays psychologist Lin Yan Ting, whose father — Police Superintendent Lin Qian — dies after being falsely accused. He then joins forces with Detective Li Bai Lang to track down the real culprit.

The C-drama is reported to air 18 episodes and is a Hong Kong-style hardcore suspense series.
Lies Hunter is directed by Sunny Luk, the recipient of the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Director, who previously helmed the Cold War film series. It also marks Sunny Luk's first time directing a television drama. Veteran Hong Kong film figure Eric Tsang serves as producer, while the core creative team is primarily made up of talent from Hong Kong's film industry, bringing extensive experience in the mystery-crime genre.
