Choo Young Woo and Shin Shi Ah will reportedly work together in the upcoming Korean version of Even if This Love Disappears from the World Tonight.
On April 17, various media outlets reported that Choo Young Woo and Shin Shi Ah have been chosen to lead the Korean remake of the hit Japanese film Even if This Love Disappears from the World Tonight.
Choo Young Woo and Shin Shi Ah's agencies responded to the casting reports. According to Choo Young Woo's agency, J Wide Company, "The actor is positively reviewing the offer." Shin Shi Ah's agency, ANDMARQ, also confirmed that the actress received the offer and she is still in discussions for it.
Even if This Love Disappears from the World, Tonight will depict the story from the 2022 Japanese film of the same name. It will tell the romance story of a high school girl suffering from anterograde amnesia (her memory resets every time she sleeps) and an ordinary high school boy who lives a dull life. The Japanese film was led by Michieda Shunsuke and Fukumoto Riko.
The upcoming film will be the next work of director Kim Hye Young (It's Okay!, Be Melodramatic, and Unicorn). It will be distributed by BY4M Studio.
According to reports, Even if This Love Disappears from the World, Tonight will begin filming this June.
Choo Young Woo got the offer to play the role of Kim Jae Won. He is an ordinary high school boy who is suffering from a hereditary heart condition. Because of this, he lives a plain life and isn't very interested in things until he meets Han Seo Yoon.
This will possibly be added to the upcoming projects of Choo Young Woo. The actor is also set to star in the upcoming K-dramas Mercy for None, Gyeon U and Fairy, and Long Vacation.
Early this year, he impressed viewers with his performance in the hit Netflix K-drama The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. He showcased great chemistry with Ju Ji Hoon, Ha Young, Yoon Gyung Ho, Jeong Jae Kwang, and Kim Eui Sung.
Shin Shi Ah will reportedly take on the role of Han Seo Yoon, a positive high school girl experiencing anterograde amnesia. As her memory returns, Kim Jae Won is expected to be a part of her journey.
Meanwhile, this will possibly be the second upcoming film of Shin Shi Ah. She will also star in the upcoming movie The Old Woman with the Knife.
Shin Shi Ah is currently starring in the tvN K-drama Resident Playbook with Go Youn Jung, Kang Yoo Seok, Han Ye Ji, Jung Joon Won, and Lee Bong Ryun.
