Girls Generation's Choi Soo Young is advancing to Hollywood.
On April 25, it was officially confirmed that Choi Soo Young will be one of the leads of the upcoming spin-off of the hit film John Wick, titled From the World of John Wick: Ballerina. She will be Katla Park in the movie.
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina will tell the story of what happened between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4. In this upcoming film, led by Ana de Armas, Choi Soo Young will play Katla Park, who becomes Eve's first field mission – to protect her.
Choi Soo Young personally posted the teaser poster featuring herself and promoted the upcoming film on her Instagram.
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina will premiere in theaters on June 6.
Before Choi Soo Young advances to Hollywood, she will first lead the soon-to-air tvN K-drama Second Shot at Love with Gong Myung, Jo Yoon Hee, Kang Hyung Suk, Kim Sung Ryung, and Kim Sang Ho. The K-drama will premiere on May 12.
The idol actress will also star in the upcoming law romance K-drama Liar, Lawyer with Kim Jae Young.
Last year, Choi Soo Young did not star in any K-dramas and focused on the film Dead Man. She worked with main leads Jo Jin Woong, Kim Hee Ae, Lee Soo Kyung, Choi Jae Woong, and Kim Won Hae in the movie.
Choi Soo Young started her acting career in 2007. She is both active as a Girls' Generation member as well as an actress.
She is best known for being part of the K-dramas Not Others, Fanletter, Please, If You Wish Upon Me, Move to Heaven, So I Married an Anti-Fan, Run On, 38 Task Force, Dating Agency: Cyrano, Unstoppable Marriage, and more.
