Im Ji Yeon in talks to star in 'The Prince and the Pauper' reimagining
We Are All Trying Here has unveiled a poster featuring Koo Kyo Hwan and Go Youn Jung.
We Are All Trying Here follows the journey of aspiring director Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan), who, being the only one who hasn't debuted among a group of accomplished friends, is driven to anguish and madness by envy and jealousy. The story is centered on the struggles of him and others as they try to find peace.
The K-drama stars Koo Kyo Hwan, Go Youn Jung, Oh Jung Se, Kang Mal Geum, and Park Hae Joon, among others.
As previously introduced, Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan), who has been dreaming of making his debut as a film director for 20 years, and Byeon Eun Ah (Go Youn Jung), called "The Axe" of the film company Choi Film, become each other's only sanctuary.
Sitting in front of the eight-member group's hangout, zoning out, Hwang Dong Man and Byeon Eun Ah appear as though they have completely exhausted all their energy for the day. That is why the poster copy, "By any chance… do you know where they sell energy?" resonates deeply. It reflects a thought that all of us, who try to get through each day when our life fuel feels nearly depleted, have probably had at least once.

Hwang Dong Man, who has been stuck in the same place for 20 years, and Byeon Eun Ah, who lives with past trauma, become sources of "energy" for one another. Hwang Dong Man, who talks nonstop in an effort to reduce his anxiety, learns for the first time how to simply stay still without trying so hard in front of Byeon Eun Ah, who attentively listens to him.
His transparent energy heals Byeon Eun Ah's wounds. As such, We Are All Trying Here is expected to become the battery that recharges all of us who are exhausted, as it depicts people in desperate need of "energy" filling each other's emptiness.
The production team stated, "Hwang Dong Man and Byun Eun Ah each carry their own shortcomings, but through each other, they finally recharge their drained energies. We hope that through the simple yet reassuring process of these two people — desperately in need of strength — meeting and becoming sources of strength for one another, viewers too will gain the bright power to turn worthlessness into value."
We Are All Trying Here is set to premiere on April 18. The K-drama is reported to stream on Netflix.
