Jung Hae In being considered for a new tvN drama
Actress Go Youn Jung has officially confirmed her appearance in the film Nambeol, where she will star alongside Lee Byung Hun.
On July 7, production company Hive Media Corp announced that Go Youn Jung has joined Nambeol as a lead.
Nambeol is a hard-boiled martial arts action film set during the early Joseon Dynasty. The story follows nine warriors — each with distinct abilities and hailing from different social classes — as they set out for Tsushima Island to rescue captives abducted by Japanese pirates (waegu).
Following the earlier announcement that Lee Byung Hun had been cast as Lim Eok, the leader of the warriors, the production has now confirmed the casting of Go Youn Jung.
In this film, Go Youn Jung takes center stage as Ae Ryeong, an independent and strong-willed character. Ae Ryeong is a woman who loses her family in an attack by Japanese pirates (waegu) and enters the battlefield to rescue her younger sibling, who has been taken captive and held on Tsushima Island.
Nambeol is currently in pre-production, with filming scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026.
