'Good Boy' Park Bo Gum is determined to confront injustice head-on

Good Boy Park Bo Gum comes to uphold justice in the new JTBC  K-drama. 

Good Boy is an action comedy drama where medalists turned police officers, wearing police badges instead of medals around their necks, fight against injustice. 

Park Bo Gum will play the role of Yoon Dong Ju, a boxing champion turned police officer in the Special Violent Crimes Unit.

Taking on the youth action genre for the first time since his debut, Park Bo Gum expressed his anticipation, saying, "From the sweltering summer to the chilling winter, there's an action scene in every episode. From refreshing direction and dynamic cinematography to stylish lighting, every scene, crafted in collaboration with the best crew, is something to look forward to."

In the stills, Park Bo Gum is seen wearing a determined gaze, despite blood trickling down his face and bruises around his eyes. This reflects Yoon Dong Ju's unique way of life, as he throws himself headfirst into the world.

Yoon Dong Ju was once a national player who wore a gold medal around his neck, but he is now a police officer standing on the front lines of crime. Beneath that transformation lies a man defined by unwavering determination and a resolute spirit. He does not avoid responsibility and accepts as his own the tasks that someone must inevitably take on.

Park Bo Gum described Yoon Dong Ju with a single word: "bulldozer." He explained, "With a burning sense of justice, he doesn't allow even the slightest chance to escape and crushes lowly injustice."

The production team commented, "Park Bo Gum brought Yoon Dong Ju to life by pouring everything into the role — sweat, wounds, gaze, even breath. In every scene, viewers will be able to feel the new side of him that he presents."

Good Boy will premiere on May 31. The K-drama will be streaming on Prime Video for global audiences.
