After taking office as the magistrate of Chun'an County, the young zhuangyuan Lu Jiang Lai (Hou Ming Hao) repeatedly cracks extraordinary cases, but after becoming entangled in an old murder case, he falls from grace in officialdom into utter ruin. At the brink of death, he is saved by Rong Shan Bao (Gulnezer Bextiyar), the daughter of a tea tycoon.
Proud Lu Jiang Lai once had a power struggle with the powerful Rong clan, forging deep enmity. As a result, Shanbao seeks revenge. Taking advantage of the fact that he is gravely injured and has lost his memory, she conceals his identity, brings him back to her home, and reduces him to the lowest role of a stable boy.
When the Rong family suddenly announces that they are seeking a son-in-law, prominent clans from across Jiangnan flock to them, each harboring their own ulterior motives. Lu Jiang Lai is unexpectedly drawn into the fray and becomes a pawn in Shan Bao's game. Braving obstacles, they solve past cases, join forces to set their family in order, and expand the tea trade.
Glory is coming December 29. Stream it on Viki.
