Rookie actress Han Ye Ji debuts as a first-year resident at Yulje Hospital's obstetrics and gynecology department in Resident Playbook.
Hospital Playlist spinoff, Resident Playbook, is a drama about doctors working at Yulje Hospital, depicting the growth of residents who dream of becoming wise doctors as they navigate their struggles.
In the K-drama, Han Ye Ji plays the role of Kim Sa Bi, a first-year obstetrics and gynecology resident at the hospital. Kim Sa Bi, as a model student, consistently ranked first from medical school to the national licensing exam. As a result, everyone in the obstetrics and gynecology department holds high expectations for her.
Sa Bi is an avid scholar who meticulously studies every patient's chart daily and rushes to morning study sessions with a bright smile. She is undoubtedly an ace when it comes to academics, but textbooks alone can't teach her the skills needed for social life. As she navigates the challenges of social life, even Kim Sa Bi, the "supercomputer" of the obstetrics and gynecology department, begins to malfunction. The question remains, can she become an ace in her hospital life too?
The stills capture the hectic day of Kim Sa Bi, the "human AI" of the obstetrics and gynecology department. She is first seen intensely focused on her studies, eyes wide open, and later flashing a bright smile while holding a surgical consent form. However, the next still shows her dejected, sitting in the department with a crestfallen expression.
Resident Playbook is set to premiere on April 12. The K-drama will be available to stream on Netflix.
