Actors Ha Yoon Kyung and Moon Tae Yu are also joining Resident Playbook.
Ha Yoon Kyung and Moon Tae Yu are officially returning as Doctors Heo Seon Bin and Yong Seok Min from Hospital Playlist in a Resident Playbook cameo. Reports indicate their characters will be revealed as married in their episode.
The couple will join the growing list of Hospital Playlist actors making special appearances in Resident Playbook, including Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Kim Dae Myung, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Joon Han. Ahn Eun Jin previously made a notable cameo in the second episode.
Resident Playbook is a spin-off of Hospital Playlist that depicts the real-life stories, friendships, and struggles of obstetrics and gynecology residents at Jongno Yulje Hospital.
Go Youn Jung, Shin Shi Ah, Kang Yoo Seok, Jung Joon Won, Han Ye Ji, and Lee Bong Ryun are the main leads of the series.
This K-drama is the joint work of director Lee Min Soo (The Secret House and Good For You) and writer Kim Song Hee. The original team of Hospital Playlist director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung are also working with them in the production of the K-drama as creators.
Resident Playbook airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM KST.
Resident Playbook marks Ha Yoon Kyung's first 2025 drama appearance before she takes the lead in the upcoming Marble of God alongside Ahn Bo Hyun, Lee Sung Min, Claudia Kim, Bae Jung Nam, and Son Woo Hyun.
Ha Yoon Kyung will also reprise her role in the much-anticipated K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2 alongside Park Eun Bin, Kang Tae Oh, Kang Ki Young, Jeon Bae Soo, Baek Ji Won, and Jin Kyung.
Meanwhile, Resident Playbook will be Moon Tae Yu's first project for 2025. The actor was last seen in the hit tvN K-drama Queen of Tears, led by Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won, Park Sung Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, Lee Joo Bin, and Kim Gab Soo.
Moon Tae Yu is known for appearing in the K-dramas Celebrity, The Interest of Love, Forecasting Love and Weather, Hospital Playlist, and more.
