'Hospital Playlist' Aunt Lee Soo Mi will make a special cameo appearance in the Disney+ K-drama Unmasked.
On January 29, Lee Soo Mi's agency, CLN Company, announced that the actress would appear in one of the episodes of the mystery comedy K-drama Unmasked.
Unmasked tells the story of Korea’s first Investigative Journalism Bureau of a broadcasting company. It will focus on a team of investigative journalists who will unveil the truth about the mysterious events.
The K-drama is led by Kim Hye Soo, Jung Sung Il, Joo Jong Hyuk, Shin Jung Keun, Lee Hae Young, and Jang Hye Jin. This is the latest work of director Yoo Seon Dong (The Uncanny Counter and Bad and Crazy).
In the K-drama, Lee Soo Mi will play the role of Kim Hye Soo's character Oh So Ryong's mother. She cared and loved her daughter more than her life.
Unmasked will air every Wednesday exclusively on Disney+. The fifth episode is released today. The K-drama has a total of 12 episodes.
This will be Lee Soo Mi's first project for the year. She will also make a special cameo appearance in the upcoming Netflix original K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines led by IU, Park Bo Gum, Moon So Ri, Park Hae Joon, Kim Tae Yeon, and Lee Chun Moo.
The actress will also join the cast of the upcoming film Go-To Restaurant starring CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa, Joo Hyun Young, Kim Mi Kyung, Hyun Woo Seok, Ko Chang Seok, and Park Kyung Hye
Lee Soo Mi has starred in several K-dramas such as Mask Girl, Crash Course in Romance, Unicorn, Green Mothers' Club, I Have Not Done My Best Yet, Find Me in Your Memory, and more.
Last year, Lee Soo Mi made a special appearance in the K-dramas Frankly Speaking and The Bequeathed.
Lee Soo Mi is best known for being Uju's babysitter in the K-drama Hospital Playlist.
