The young Chinese star Huangyang Tian Tian's agency will be taking legal action against netizens infringing the rights and interests of the actress.

On May 11, Huangyang Tian Tian shared photos from her graduation ceremony online. In the photosthe earrings she wore were identified as being from the luxury brand GRAFF's collection, with a listed price of approximately 2.3 million yuan. Many Chinese netizens argued that Huangyang, born in 2007 and still a young actress, should not be engaging in such high spending.

Subsequently, Huangyang Tian Tian posted on social media: "I borrowed the earrings from my mother."

The C-netizens then shifted their attention towards the actress's family. Multiple sources claimed that her father was a government employee in Ya'an, Sichuan province, raising suspicions over her family income, which in turn sparked widespread discussion online. The issue quickly became one of the top trending topics on Chinese platforms.

Huangyang Tian Tian's father issued a statement in which he said that the earrings are not authentic luxury items, and he has committed no misconduct while on duty.

On May 16, a social media user with the ID @黄杨爸爸黄杨钿天的爸爸 Yang Wei (Huangyangtiantian's father Yang Wei), addressed the recent controversy in his post. He explained that the earrings worn by Huang during her graduation ceremony belonged to her mother, were not authentic luxury items, and were not exorbitantly priced. He also expressed willingness to cooperate with official appraisal agencies and relevant authorities for investigation.

Regarding his status as a civil servant, Huangyang Tian Tian's father explained that he began working in March 2011 at the Ya'an Urban Administrative and Law Enforcement Bureau, where he was responsible for patrol duties.

In 2015, he gave up his civil servant job and transferred to the Investment Promotion Service Center, a subordinate body under the Ya'an Investment Promotion Agency. In 2017, he resigned and returned to Shenzhen, where he has been running a business with his wife ever since.

He also stated that during his time working in Ya'an, he was never involved in any post-disaster reconstruction bidding projects, nor had he ever been employed by the Sichuan Charity Federation.

He clarified that the information circulating online is about someone else with the same name and has no connection to him whatsoever. In his statement, he emphasized that he had never engaged in any disciplinary, legal, or criminal violations during his tenure — and absolutely did not, as some netizens claimed, embezzle funds related to post-disaster reconstruction.

"I welcome everyone to supervise me. If anyone discovers any issues, they can report them to the local disciplinary authorities. I will fully cooperate with any investigation and take full responsibility for the consequences," he wrote.
