Girls Generation's Choi Soo Young is making her debut in Hollywood!
Good Partner is confirmed to have a second season!
On April 3, SBS confirmed that the hit law K-drama will have another season. They also shared that it is still in the early stages of production, so the filming and broadcast dates and the cast are not yet confirmed and are still under discussion.
According to reports, the main leads, Jang Na Ra and Nam Ji Hyun, have already been informed and offered to reprise their roles.
Good Partner revolves around the daily life and struggles of divorce lawyers. It focuses on veteran divorce lawyer Cha Eun Kyung and rookie divorce lawyer Han Yoo Ri, who are working at the law firm Daejung.
Aside from Jang Na Ra and Nam Ji Hyun, Kim Joon Han, BLOCK B's P.O., Ji Seung Hyun, and Han Jae Yi were also part of the cast.
Director Kim Ga Ram (Nevertheless and Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency) and writer Choi Yoo Na worked together to create the hit series.
Good Partner, which aired between July and September last year, was a major success, reaching a highest viewership of 17.7 percent. The series also marked a significant achievement for Jang Na Ra, earning her the first grand prize of her acting career at the 2024 SBS Drama Awards.
Just like the first season, the second season of Good Partner will air exclusively on SBS.
If Jang Na Ra confirms her casting, this will be her follow-up work. The idol-turned-actress has not yet picked her next project after Good Partner.
Meanwhile, this will possibly be Nam Ji Hyun's second upcoming K-drama. She will first lead Dear Bandit before returning to the new season of Good Partner. In Dear Bandit, she will work alongside Moon Sang Min, Kim Suk Hoon, and Ha Seok Jin.
