The Price of Confession, starring Jeon Do Yeon and Kim Go Eun, is coming to Netflix on December 5.
The Price of Confession is a mystery thriller that follows Yoon Soo (Jeon Do Yeon), a woman accused of murdering her husband, and Mo Eun (Kim Go Eun), a mysterious woman called a witch, as they make a dangerous deal.
The teaser poster shows Ahn Yoon Soo (Jeon Do Yeon) and Mo Eun (Kim Go Eun) facing each other with only a wall between them, both wearing identical prison uniforms. The desperate expression of Yoon Soo — now the prime suspect in her husband's murder — and the hollow gaze of Mo Eun, the culprit of a gruesome homicide and called a witch, spark curiosity about the intertwined fates and untold stories of these two women.
The teaser trailer begins with Yoon Soo cradling her bloodied, collapsed husband in her arms as she calls 119 (emergency services). After her husband's death, Yoon Soo's calm and smiles — both at the funeral and during police questioning — pique suspicion that she might be the killer. Yet, the sight of Yoon Soo screaming in front of a crowd that she did not kill her husband leaves viewers uncertain about whether they should believe her or not.
Meanwhile, Mo Eun, who had been observing Yoon Soo, approaches her when they meet inside the prison and proposes an irresistible deal. She offers to confess to killing Yoon Soo's husband in her place, on the condition that Yoon Soo does something for her in return.
In a situation where no one and nothing can be trusted, Yoon Soo, desperate to leave prison even if it means accepting a dangerous bargain, becomes entangled with prosecutor Baek Dong Hoon (Park Hae Soo), who pursues the secrets of both Mo Eun and Yoon Soo in search of the truth, and Yoon Soo's lawyer Jang Jung Gu (Jin Seon Kyu), who fights to defend her.
Then, Mo Eun's line, "In the end, we'll end up doing this crazy thing," sparks curiosity about the deal that will happen between the two in exchange for a confession that hides the truth.
The Price of Confession will be released on Netflix on December 5.
