
Actress Jin Kyung will reportedly join hands with Choi Min Shik and Choi Hyun Wook in the upcoming K-drama The Boy in the Last Row.
On April 14, media outlets stated that Jin Kyung will take over the role that was offered to actress Moon So Ri in the upcoming K-drama The Boy in the Last Row.
This will possibly be the grand comeback of Jin Kyung to the K-drama scene after almost three years. In 2023, the actress was booked and busy with the K-dramas The Story of Park's Marriage Contract, My Lovely Liar, Black Knight, Dr. Romantic Season 3, and Queenmaker.
Last year, Jin Kyung focused on the film I, the Executioner, with Hwang Jung Min, Jung Hae In, Oh Dal Soo, Oh Dae Hwan, Jang Yoon Ju, and Kim Shi Hoo.
Jin Kyung will also star in the upcoming movie Midnight Sun, together with Jung Ji So, Cha Hak Yeon, and Kim Sang Ho. She will also reportedly return to Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2.
The Boy in the Last Row will depict the story from the Spanish play of the same name by Juan Mayorga. It will revolve around a failed writer turned Korean literature professor at a prestigious university who becomes fascinated by the writings of his student, who sits at the end of the classroom.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director Kim Kyu Tae, who also created the works The Trunk, Our Blues, Live, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and It's Okay, That's Love.
Choi Min Shik will be Mun O, a Korean literature professor and novelist at a prestigious university in the K-drama.
Choi Hyun Wook will play the role of Lee Gang, a Korean Literature student at a prestigious university whose writing fascinates his professor.
Jin Kyung will reportedly portray the role of Choi Min Sik's character's wife in the K-drama. She is a psychological counselor.
The K-drama The Boy in the Last Row is reportedly scheduled to air in 2026, though the broadcast channel or streaming platform is still unknown.
