Jung Eun Chae and Ryu Seung Ryong will lead the upcoming K-drama The Story of Manager Kim, Who Works for a Large Company in Seoul.

On April 7, media outlet Star News reported that Jung Eun Chae would be added to the cast of the upcoming novel-based comedy K-drama The Story of Manager Kim, Who Works for a Large Company in Seoul. Last week, it was officially confirmed that actor Ryu Seung Ryong will be the main lead of the K-drama.

This will be Jung Eun Chae's follow-up project after her hit K-drama Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born. She was praised for her performance in the K-drama alongside Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, Ra Mi Ran, Kim Yoon Hye, and Woo Da Vi

The actress is also in talks to join the upcoming Korean remake of the Swedish series Honor. She will reportedly work with Lee Na Young in the mystery series.

Jung Eun Chae is known for being part of the K-dramas Your Honor, Anna, Pachinko, The King: Eternal Monarch, The Guest, and more.

The Story of Manager Kim, Who Works for a Large Company in Seoul will depict its story from the webtoon of the same name penned by Song Hui Gu. The K-drama will center on the character of Mr. Kim. It will portray the middle-aged man's journey to rebuild his life after enduring significant loss.

Ryu Seung Ryong will give life to the character Kim Nak Soo, a highly successful salesman with 25 years of experience. Known for his excellence in both his professional and personal life, Kim Nak Soo consistently earned promotions and enjoyed an enviable life in a prime Seoul apartment with his wife and son. However, the K-drama will depict his journey of resilience and survival as he gradually loses his edge in both areas.

Meanwhile, Jung Eun Chae will portray a new character who is not part of the original webtoon.

This K-drama will be the next work of director Jo Hyun Tak, who is known for creating the series The Atypical Family, Snowdrop, SKY Castle, and more. SLL and Varo Entertainment will produce it.

The Story of Manager Kim, Who Works for a Large Company in Seoul, is scheduled to air in the second half of 2025. It will be shown exclusively on JTBC.
