Kim Go Eun proposes a dangerous bargain to Jeon Do Yeon in 'The Price of Confession'

Netflix unveils main poster and trailer for The Price of Confession.

The Price of Confession is a mystery thriller that follows Yoon Soo (Jeon Do Yeon), a woman accused of murdering her husband, and Mo Eun (Kim Go Eun), a mysterious woman called a witch, as they make a dangerous deal. 

The main poster shows Ahn Yoon Soo (Jeon Do Yeon) and Mo Eun (Kim Go Eun) standing on opposite sides of a wall — Yoon Soo, standing there in blood-stained clothes with tears welling in her eyes and an expression of fear and anxiety, and Mo Eun, whose cold gaze makes her emotions nearly impossible to read.

Ahn Yoon Soo, who in an instant becomes a suspect in her husband's murder, and Mo Eun, who exploits Yoon Soo's desperation to propose a deal, enter a dangerous bargain to achieve their own goals.  Adding to this, the line "The price of confession that everyone must pay" raises anticipation for what consequences the two — who traded a confession — will ultimately face.

The trailer begins with a news report stating, "'A', a teacher charged with killing her husband, was sentenced to life in prison by the district court." The following scenes show Mo Eun approaching Ahn Yoon Soo, saying, "I'll confess that I killed your husband."

The bizarre demeanor of Mo Eun, who is called a witch, deepens the mystery surrounding her identity. It is then revealed that the condition Mo Eun sets in return for giving a confession is for Yoon Soo to kill someone in her place — someone Mo Eun herself couldn't kill.

Prosecutor Baek Dong Hun (Park Hae Soo), who is desperate to uncover the truth behind the two women’s secret, pressures Mo Eun — who has confessed to the murder — yet never lets go of his suspicions toward Yoon Soo. Jang Jeong Gu (Jin Seon Kyu), Yoon Soo's attorney, and Jin Young-in (Choi Young Joon), Mo Eun's attorney, also chase the truth to help their clients, but they gradually begin to feel unsettled by the increasingly inexplicable exploits of the two women.

Yoon Soo's desperation as she says, "You must die for us to live," and Mo Eun's reply, "Now it's time to return the favor," raise curiosity about what price awaits them at the end of their irreversible deal.

The Price of Confession will be released on December 5.
