Upcoming thriller Affairs Not the Only Secret has confirmed its premiere for July 31.
Affairs Not the Only Secret is a black comedy that follows a famous influencer couple — who have sold their image of a happy family — and the doctor couple next door — mired in a messy divorce lawsuit — as they become entangled in a flabbergasting secret that makes even an affair seem trivial.
The newly released teaser poster commands attention by vividly capturing the glamorous everyday life of Gyeong Hui (Kim Hye Soo), an influencer who sells the image of the perfect family, and the cracks hidden beneath it, set against the backdrop of a peaceful upscale neighborhood.
Dressed in flashy clothes and smiling calmly while holding a selfie stick, Gyeong Hui appears at ease — as if unaware of the catastrophic downfall that is about to turn her world upside down.
Behind her, the scenes glimpsed through the mansion's windows symbolically foreshadow the events to come. The silhouettes of a man and woman embracing affectionately, a man pressing his ear against the wall in front of a shattered family portrait, and two young girls standing facing each other all hint at the secrets lurking beneath what appears to be a perfect life.
Kim Hye Soo comes as Gyeong Hui, a self-made influencer; Cho Yeo Jung as Su Jeong, Gyeong Hui's next-door neighbor and a dermatologist; Kim Ji Hoon as Jae Hong, Gyeong Hui's younger husband; and Kim Jae Chul as Bo Seong, a man locked in a divorce lawsuit withSu Jeong.
