'True Education': Kim Mu Yeol & team to teach hard lesson to those undermining the education system
COUPANG TV's upcoming crime thriller, Affairs Not the Only Secret, unveils stills from script reading.
Affairs Not the Only Secret is a black comedy that follows a famous influencer couple — who have sold their image of a happy family — and the doctor couple next door — mired in a messy divorce lawsuit — as they become entangled in a flabbergasting secret that makes even an affair seem trivial.
The cast brings together some of South Korea's leading actors. Kim Hye Soo will play Gyeong Hui, the CEO of an interior design company and a popular influencer who is thirsty for an even greater success.
Cho Yeo Jung will play Su Jeong — Gyeong Hui's next-door neighbor and a dermatologist, who endures everything to protect her only daughter.
Kim Ji Hoon has been cast as Jae Hong, an actor and Gyeong Hui's husband who lives in the shadow of his successful wife.
Kim Jae Chul will come as Bo Seong, Su Jeong's ex-husband, a man who will stop at nothing to regain custody of their daughter.
After the script reading, Kim Hye Soo shared, "Everything was unique. The way the story unfolded, the characters' personalities, and the ensemble were all interesting."
Cho Yeo Jung commented, "A precarious fiasco unfolds off the back of a single incident, and it plays out thrillingly through the actors' chemistry. Please look forward to it."
Kim Ji Hoon said, "The stories were entertaining, and I liked the fresh feel that it wasn't predictable. I'll do my best so that it can be an enjoyable set all the way through the final shoot."
Kim Jae Chul added, "I'll do my best to deliver to you the thrill I felt when I read the script. Please look forward to the acting feast of diverse characters that will unfold within director Lee Chang Hee's world. We'll be back with a good project."
Affairs Not the Only Secret is slated for release in 2026.
