Lee Hak Joo (My Dearest, Shadow Detective, My Name) plays a character with immense influence in The Potato Lab.

The Potato Lab follows Kim Mi Kyung (Lee Sun Bin), a passionate researcher obsessed with potatoes and So Baek Ho (Kang Tae Oh), a charismatic but ruthless capitalist driven by making profits. So Baek Ho arrives at the potato research center in a mountain valley, where he clashes with Kim Mi Kyung.

On February 11, the production team of the upcoming tvN drama released the first character stills of Park Gi Se (Lee Hak-joo), the Executive Director of Strategic Planning at Wonhan Retail.

Park Gi Se is a character who has risen to his current position thanks to his shiny appearance and his social skills. However, despite his usual confident demeanor, the hint of confusion on his face, as shown in one of the stills, suggests that a significant change is looming for this influential figure at Wonhan Retail.

Lee Hak Joo shared his thoughts on choosing the project, saying, "When I first read the script, I found it really fun, and the characters were all very charming. In particular, Park Gi Se is annoying, yet [he's the kind of character who] makes you want to watch him. He has an irresistible charm, so I wanted to do  The Potato Lab."

He continued, "I put a lot of effort into making Park Gi Se's scenes enjoyable and satisfying for the viewers. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to make certain elements fun," heightening anticipation for his performance.

The Potato Lab will premiere on March 1. The K-drama will be streaming on Netflix.
