Lee Jae Wook and Shin Ye Eun's 'Doctor on the Edge' unveils new teasers

Doctor on the Edge has unveiled new teasers.

Doctor on the Edge is a medical drama that depicts the story of doctor Do Ji Ui (Lee Jae Wook), who arrives on Pyeondongdo, an island no one wants to go to, and the secretive nurse Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun).

The newly unveiled teaser poster is set against a vast blue sky and an endless sea; the remote island of Pyeondongdo serves as the backdrop, with Do Ji Ui and Yook Ha Ri wearing contrasting expressions. Do Ji Ui, dressed in a military uniform with a doctor's coat over it, is revealed to be a public health doctor. His expression as he clutches his head suggests his undesired arrival on the island. In contrast, Yook Ha Ri's radiant smile as she enjoys the pleasant breeze stands out. Having left the city for different reasons, the story these two will create on the island invites intrigue.

The first teaser hints at Do Ji Ui's far-from-easy survival story on the island. A public health doctor for whom anything is "okay" as long as it’s not an island, Do Ji Ui crash-lands on Pyeongdong — a place everyone avoids. 

With the remark, "I was unlucky," his day-to-day struggles bring out humor. Curiosity also grows around Yook Ha Ri, who may become his savior in the chaotic, almost battlefield-like life on the island. 

Lee Jae Wook transforms into Do Ji Ui, an unlucky public health doctor who is assigned to the island of Pyeongtaek.

Shin Ye Eun takes on the role of Yook Ha Ri, a nurse who previously worked at a university hospital and has returned to Pyeondong Island while carrying a secret.

Doctor on the Edge is coming June 1.
