Girls Generation's Choi Soo Young is making her debut in Hollywood!
Lee Joong Ok will be added to the cast of the tvN K-drama Second Shot at Love.
On March 18, it was officially confirmed that actor Lee Joong Ok will be part of the upcoming K-drama Second Shot at Love. He will work alongside Girls Generation's Choi Soo Young, Gong Myung, Jo Yoon Hee, Kang Hyung Suk, Kim Sung Ryung, and Kim Sang Ho.
Second Shot at Love will tell the romance story of a woman who grew up in a family full of alcoholics and a successful doctor who went to a rural village to work at Bocheon Health Center.
Director Jang Yoo Jung (Honest Candidate and The Bros) and writers Myung Soo Hyun (Monthly Magazine Home) and Jeon Ji Hyun will work together for the upcoming K-drama.
Lee Joong Ok will play the role of Ki Beom's father who owns a charcoal-grilled ribs restaurant with his wife in Bocheon Village. He is also the drinking buddy of Kim Sang Ho's character Han Jeong Su, and the father of Choi Soo Young's character Han Geum Ju. He is close with the family Han. His daily routine is drinking with Han Jeong Su every evening.
Second Shot at Love will officially premiere in May. It will have a total of 12 episodes.
Second Shot at Love will be the first K-drama project of actor Lee Joong Ok for the year.
The actor will also join the cast of the upcoming movie Only God Knows Everything with Shin Seung Ho, Han Ji Eun, Park Myung Hoon, Jeon So Min, Yoo Sung Joo, and Nam Joong Gyu
In 2024, he also participated in the hit SBS series The Judge from Hell with main leads Park Shin Hye, Kim Jae Young, Kim In Kwon, and Kim Ah Young.
