tvN’s upcoming weekend drama Typhoon Family has unveiled the first stills of Lee Jun Ho.

Typhoon Family follows Kang Tae Poong (Lee Jun Ho), CEO of a trading company with no employees, no money, and nothing to sell, navigating the 1997 IMF crisis.

In the K-drama, Lee Jun Ho plays Kang Tae Poong, who grows into a company man amid the IMF turmoil.

The first stills capture Kang Tae Poong’s dazzling style. His fashion, steeped in 1990s retro sensibility, along with blond hair highlights, evokes the image of the Orange Tribe (young, wealthy, and often educated abroad individuals in Apgujeong, Seoul, in the pre-IMF era) that once dominated Apgujeong.

But Kang Tae Poong is not just a handsome Orange Tribe youth. He captivates wherever he goes, yet what he truly loves is "flowers." It is not a mere hobby; rather, it embodies a youthful longing and dream — to bloom beautifully, to remain unbroken, and ultimately to bear fruit. Though he appears free-spirited on the outside, inside, he is more passionate and stronger than anyone else.

His life takes a turn when he suddenly finds himself the CEO of a trading company and is thrown headfirst into the midst of the IMF crisis.

The production team commented, “Lee Jun Ho will not simply portray a cool youth of the 1990s, but will vividly capture the image of the passionate young generation that endured those harsh times.” They added, “Please look forward to seeing how Lee Jun Ho will portray the ‘growth story of Kang Tae Poong,’ which will resonate across generations, and witness the birth of another signature youth character of Lee Jun Ho.”

Typhoon Family is coming this October, on Netflix.
