KBS unveils fresh stills from its upcoming fitness-themed K-drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.
Pump Up the Healthy Love follows Do Hyun Jung (Lee Jun Young), a vigorous fitness enthusiast, correcting the lives of novice gym members.
In the K-drama, Lee Jun Young plays the lead role of Do Hyun Jung, a fitness freak obsessed with muscle building who goes from being a world-class bodybuilder to the owner of an old, run-down gym. His physique speaks for itself — his life revolves entirely around fitness.
Born with a frame smaller than a 1.5kg dumbbell, Hyun Jung turned his life around through sheer dedication to fitness. Now, as the owner of a local gym, he finds himself caught in a fierce survival game as he navigates the challenges of being a small business owner and a trainer.
The following stills give a glimpse of Do Hyun Jung as he sharply gazes at the gym members and his passion as he motivates them.
The production team stated, "Despite his busy schedule, Lee Jun Young made time to work out to fully immerse himself in the character of Do Hyun Jung. In particular, Lee Jun Young's interpretation of Do Hyun Jung was very interesting and he brought him to life in his own unique way. You can look forward to his performance, fueled by his immense passion for acting." They added, "Please show lots of interest in Pump Up the Healthy Love, where Lee Jun Young is set to unfold his acting parade."
Pump Up the Healthy Love is set to premiere on April 30. News about the K-drama's global OTT platform is yet to come.
