'Agent Kim Reactivated' concludes, 'Spooky in Love' goes steady
On May 11, Orca Entertainment released its upcoming content lineup, featuring multiple sequels and flagship titles, including Legend of Zang Hai 2, Hunting Lies, and Regeneration Season 2, among many more.
The lineup spans dramas, variety shows, animation, film, humanities, and live performances, totaling more than 200 titles.
The platform stated that it will focus on advancing franchise-style development for major projects, strengthening synergies between films and dramas as well as between dramas and animation, and further integrating online content with offline performances to expand entertainment services across all scenarios. Franchise-style development has become Youku's core strategy for strengthening its market position, with costume dramas and suspense remaining the platform's two key focus areas.
Several highly popular IPs have officially confirmed sequels: Riverside Code at Qingming Festival has announced Seasons 2 through 6, which will portray the stories of the four extraordinary figures Ya Jue, Dou Jue, Zuo Jue, and Xiang Jue, before ultimately converging in a final decisive battle that will determine the fate of Bianjing.
Sequels to hit costume dramas, such as Legend of Zang Hai 2 and Unveil: Jadewind 2, were also unveiled.
In the suspense genre, the platform will continue to focus on realism and strong, plot-driven narratives. Regeneration Season 2 has entered production, Origin will open a new chapter centered on the theme of theft, and Medical Examiner Qin Ming: The Peeping Man will continue to delve into forensic investigation storytelling.
