Yoo Hai Jin, Park Hae Il, and Lee Min Ho unravel the truth behind a shooting in 'Assassin(s)'
The highly anticipated historical drama The Legend of Rosy Clouds has announced its premiere date for June 20.
The drama tells the story of Fan Yun, a poor young lady from a prestigious family, and Qi Zheng, a city lord who seems innocent on the surface but is in fact cunning.
Together, they brave countless hardships and obstacles, working for the welfare of the people. In the end, they gain both enduring friendship and love. At the same time, Fan Yun helps Qi Zheng bring peace to the realm, break through outdated conventions, and resolve the crisis threatening the Nine Cities. Hand in hand, they work to build a prosperous era for the people.

This drama is adapted from the classic "The Story of Caiyun Kingdom" and directed by Zhu Shao Jie, renowned for his expertise in period productions. It creates a fictional ancient-style world known as the Caiyun Kingdom.
At that time, both the imperial court and society rigidly adhered to outdated conventions, with women explicitly forbidden from taking the imperial examinations or serving as government officials.
Fan Yun (Li Yi Tong), though born into a distinguished family, lived in impoverished circumstances. She has harbored lofty ambitions to help the people and makes a living by running a private school and teaching.
Recognizing her exceptional intelligence and vision, Grand Tutor Xiao offers Fan Yun generous remuneration and invites her to enter the palace as imperial consort, tasking her with assisting the reigning monarch, Qi Zheng.
Qi Zheng (Joseph Zeng) is a king who appears to indulge in pleasure and neglects state affairs. In reality, however, he is a cunning and calculating ruler who conceals his strengths behind a facade of incompetence, patiently biding his time until the right moment to act.
Fan Yun does not enter the palace to compete for favor. Instead, she uses her position within the harem to gain access to court politics. What begins as a partnership built on mutual suspicion gradually develops into a deep understanding between the two.
Driven by Fan Yun's efforts, the kingdom's laws undergo sweeping reforms, allowing women to sit for the national civil service examinations. Fan Yun herself passes the imperial exam and ranks as Tanhua, becoming the first female official in the history of the Caiyun Kingdom.
She then travels across the provinces to reform the administration and quell unrest and conflict, gradually helping usher in an era of peace and prosperity.
The Legend of Rosy Clouds will be streaming on iQIYI and YOUKU. Watch the teaser here.
