From the U.S. to Taiwan, 'Weak Hero' takes over Netflix worldwide upon Season 2's release
Love in Pavilion announces April 28 premiere.
The C-drama is adapted from the comic "Fox Spirit Matchmaker" by Tuo Xiao Xin. It tells the story of Dongfang Huai Zhu and Wangquan Hong Ye, the leaders of the Dongfang and Wangquan clans, who work together to revive the Unity Alliance amid a tense standoff between humans and demons.
Liu Shi Shi plays Dongfang Huai Zhu. She hails from the Dongfang Clan and is the wife of Wangquan Hong Ye, the elder sister of Dongfang Qin Lan, and the mother of Wangquan Fu Gui. Gentle, calm, and intelligent, she was born with powerful abilities and is the eldest daughter of the Dongfang Clan, the renowned Clan of Divine Fire, bearing a small Divine Fire mark on her forehead.
Leon Zhang plays Wangquan Hong Ye. He is the leader of the Yiqi Dao Alliance, the head of the Wangquan clan, the leader of the "Mask" organization, and wields the most powerful weapon, known as the "Sword of Heaven and Earth." He is the husband of Dongfang Huai Zhu and the father of Wangquan Fu Gui.
Wu Xuan Yi plays Wangquan Zui. She is one of the members of "Mask," codenamed the Dreamblade Swordsman. She could perform hypnosis at the age of three and control objects at the age of six. Exceptionally gifted in magic, she is the younger sister of Wangquan Hong Ye.
Zhai Xiao Wen plays Yang Yi Tan. One of the members of "Mask," codenamed the Lord of Three Perceptions. He hails from the renowned Yang family of the Heavenly Eye lineage and is the nephew of Yang Yan and the cousin of Mu Mie. Born with divine sight, he can perceive the flow of an opponent's vital energy and anticipate their moves before they strike. Exceptionally talented, he has mastered the strengths of multiple clans through mere observation.
Shen Yue comes as Dongfang Qin Lan, the mother of Dongfang Yue Chu, hailing from the Dongfang Clan. Born with powerful abilities, she is the second daughter of the Dongfang clan, the renowned Clan of Divine Fire, and the younger sister of Dongfang Huai Zhu, bearing a Fire mark on her forehead.
Also a part of the star-studded cast are Ding Yu Xi as Zhang Zheng, Zhang Ruo Nan as Yang Yan, and Meng Zi Yi as Qing Mu Yuan.
Love in Pavilion premieres on April 28 and will be available on iQIYI.
