Lee Sang Yi takes on the role of a detective with a strong sense of justice in 'A Bona Fide Killer'
Highly anticipated Chinese historical drama Blossoms of Power has confirmed its premiere for July 9.
The drama is adapted from Jin Huang's novel 我花开后百花杀.
It tells the story of Gu Qing Zhi, who awakens under the identity of Shen Xi He, the Princess of the Northwest. Bearing the vengeance of her family's massacre, she transforms from a "rose of the frontier" into a cold woman, determined to become the hand that moves the pieces from atop.
She and Crown Prince Xiao Hua Yong go from using one another amid the intrigues of the imperial court to entrusting each other with their lives. Together, they command the tides of power and ultimately safeguard the stability and prosperity of the realm.

Crown Prince Xiao Hua Yong appears frail and sickly on the outside, but in reality, he is strategic and ambitious. Poisoned in a malicious plot, he has since lain low while secretly investigating the culprits, identifying and nurturing promising talents to bring fresh strength to the imperial court.
Shen Xi He, the Princess of the Northwest, was raised in the northwest from a young age and spent much time among the common people. She regards defending the nation's borders as her duty and is also a master perfumer.
She is ordered to travel to the capital for a marriage alliance, where Xiao Hua Yong expresses his intention to take Shen Xi He as his wife.
Together, they punish the wicked and eliminate evil, uphold justice, and become each other's kindred spirits. In doing so, they write a beautiful story and protect an era of peace and prosperity throughout the realm.
Meng Zi Yi stars as Shen Xi He / Gu Qing Zhi, and He Yu comes as Xiao Hua Yong.
Blossoms of Power is coming July 9. Stream it on WeTV.
