Nam Joo Hyuk to star in new drama 'Heartbeat'

Nam Joo Hyuk is set to headline a melodrama.

According to MyDaily, Nam Joo Hyuk has been cast as the male lead in the drama Heartbeat (working title).

Heartbeat tells the story of a man who looks exactly like a woman's deceased first love. It follows a woman who can see the past and a man who must keep his own past hidden. Nam Joo Hyuk will play Cha Shin Jo, a man who is hiding his past.

Nam Joo Hyuk recently starred in the Netflix series The East Palace, where he played Gu Cheon, a man who moves between the worlds of the living and the spirits. He is also confirmed to star in the upcoming Disney+ drama Code.
