Kim Myung Soo to play a complex character in 'Love in Sync'
On June 9, the production team of KBS2's upcoming K-drama The Husband unveiled its first teaser.
The Husband tells the story of Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min), who becomes locked in a life-or-death struggle against a criminal in order to save his wife, who is kidnapped just before their divorce.
The teaser opens with Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min) performing surgery in a tense atmosphere, followed by Go Se Yoon (Lee Seol) crying out, "This is all because of you," and Kang Tae Joo telling her, "Let's break up. Us."
The teaser then shows Kang Tae Joo looking bewildered as a police officer interrogates him, asking, "Mr. Kang Tae Joo, did you ask someone you had just met yesterday to murder your wife?" Moments later, a mysterious person is seen pushing a white vehicle into a lake.
The teaser continues with Kang Tae Joo and Go Se Yoon standing face-to-face in the middle of a banquet hall. Go Se Yoon declares, "I'm not getting divorced. I don't want to give you anything you want," while Kang Tae Joo says, "I honestly don't know what Se Yoon really wants," heightening the tension.
The shocking climax comes when an intoxicated Kang Tae Joo tells the designated driver behind the wheel, "Please get rid of my wife."
The Husband is coming July 4. The K-drama will be streaming on Disney+ (select regions). Watch the teaser here.
