Kim Min Seok and Lee Hyun Wook clash in a bloody fight in 'Shark 2: The Storm'
On April 30, Disney+ announces the global release of U+ Mobile TV's new crime psychological thriller series, Hunter with a Scalpel, coming on June 16.
Hunter with a Scalpel tells the story of a genius forensic doctor who, while performing an autopsy, discovers evidence of his father's involvement in a murder and sets out to catch him, whom she thought was dead, before the police do.
Park Ju Hyun plays Seo Se Hyun, who chases after her father in order to hide a past she wishes to erase. Park Yong Woo takes on the role of her psychopathic father, Yoon Jo Kyun.
Kang Hoon plays the Violent Crimes Unit's Team Leader Jung Jeong Hyun, who comes across Se Hyun while investigating a murder case.
Hunter with a Scalpel was also invited to the Canneseries festival. On April 28 (local time), director Lee Jung Hoon, along with actors Park Ju Hyun, Ryu Seung Soo, Choi Kwang Je, and Bin Chan Uk, walked the pink carpet.
The thriller promises to immerse viewers with its cinematography, nuanced portrayal of psychological crises, and deeply immersive performances by the cast. All the actors, including Park Ju Hyun, Ryu Seung Soo, Choi Kwang Je, and Bin Chan Uk, have been reported to have skillfully portrayed the characters' complex emotions, raising curiosity about how the series will be received by local and international audiences.
Hunter with a Scalpel is coming on June 16 on Disney+.
