Noh Sang Hyun (Steve Noh) and Gong Seung Yeon will reportedly be added to the cast of Wife of a 21st Century Prince.
On April 4, media outlets reported that besides IU and Byeon Woo Seok, Noh Sang Hyun and Gong Seung Yeon will also appear in the upcoming K-drama Wife of a 21st Century Prince.
Both their agencies responded to the casting reports. Noh Sang Hyun's agency, Echo Global Group, stated, "Nothing has been confirmed yet. The upcoming K-drama is one of the projects that was offered to the actor, and he is still reviewing it."
Gong Seung Yeon's agency confirmed that the actress had received the offer. They also revealed that Gong Seung Yeon is positively considering the role.
This K-drama will possibly be Noh Sang Hyun's second upcoming K-drama. He will also join the cast of the Genie, Make a Wish led by Kim Woo Bin, miss A's Bae Suzy, and Ahn Eun Jin.
Meanwhile, Gong Seung Yeon is set to appear in the Netflix original K-drama Karma, which premieres today. She stars alongside Park Hae Soo, Shin Min Ah, Lee Hee Joon, Kim Sung Kyun, and Lee Kwang Soo.
She will also star in the upcoming series My Lovely Journey with Yoo Joon Sang, Kim Jae Young, Hong Soo Hyun, Yoo Ji Yeon, and NU'EST's Baekho.
Wife of a 21st Century Prince is set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy in Korea. The K-drama will focus on the romance between two royals: a conglomerate heiress frustrated with her "commoner" status and the son of a king whose life is transformed after meeting her.
Details regarding the characters Noh Sang Hyun and Gong Seung Yeon were offered are still unknown.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next project of director Park Joon Hwa (Alchemy of Souls, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, and Because This Is My First Life) and writer Yoo A In.
Wife of a 21st Century Prince will reportedly premiere in the second half of 2025. It will exclusively premiere on MBC.
