Korean actors celebrate Children's Day with generous donations
The upcoming action comedy K-drama Good Boy will simultaneously premiere on JTBC and different top streaming platforms.
It was recently confirmed that in addition to the broadcast channel JTBC, the upcoming K-drama Good Boy will also be available for viewing on streaming platforms Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and TVING.
Good Boy can be viewed in Korea on the channel JTBC and streaming platforms Netflix, Disney+, and TVING. Overseas viewers can stream the K-drama exclusively on Amazon Prime. The K-drama will be available in 240 countries. The streaming platforms have already released respective teasers for the upcoming K-drama.
Following in the footsteps of Reborn Rich, Good Boy is just the second K-drama to launch at the same time on streaming rivals Netflix and Disney+. Being a JTBC production, it will also be available on the Korean streaming platform TVING, thanks to the content-sharing agreement between JTBC and CJ ENM's tvN.
Good Boy tells the story of former Olympic medalists encountering various hardships who find a new purpose as special police officers, recruited through an Olympic special recruitment. These people will be the members of the "Olympic Avengers" who will fight against violent crimes with the use of their unique skills.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Yi, Heo Sung Tae, and Tae Won Seok.
Director Shim Na Yeon (The Good Bad Mother and Beyond Evil) and writer Lee Dae II (Chief of Staff and Bring It On, Ghost) will work together for the upcoming K-drama.
Park Bo Gum takes on the role of Yoon Dong Ju, a former Olympic boxing gold medalist who transitions into law enforcement through a special recruitment program for Olympic athletes. As a police officer, he embarks on a new chapter in his life.
Meanwhile, Kim So Hyun will be Ji Han Na, a renowned Olympic shooting gold medalist praised for both her exceptional talent and beauty, earning her the title "shooting goddess." Following an unspecified incident, she chose to leave shooting behind and begin a new career as a police officer.
Good Boy will begin airing on JTBC on May 31 at 10:40 PM KST. It will have a total of 16 episodes.
